Please, please learn to bake and cook.

It’s so important. It’s important for you, and for your future family. I know there’s all this content out there in “it girl” world for seducing men with your looks + scent + words.

That’s all fine and good! But I would say most men are impressed with a woman who cooks. The saying “the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach” exists for a reason. I hear you, you’re saying: Okay, Annah, I get it, but who cares? I don’t need to impress a man.

Then do it for YOU! Do you want to eat postmates/ fast food for the rest of your life? Or freezer meals? Or chicken and rice plain and bland?

You need to know how to do more than make ramen packets. It’s vital for your health, really. And your finances. You can make a cheeseburger at home and it’s already healthier than a McDonald’s one by default. And in the long run, it’s cheaper to cook at home than eat out every night.

Find recipes on Pinterest and YouTube. Thrift cookbooks. Learn and try things! I left home at 18 not knowing much at all, and now people request things from me. They enjoy when I cook and even more when I bake. Don’t be afraid to try!

How to dream with Jesus ✨💗

As it is a new year, the whole world is looking to tell you how to plan out your goals and achieve them.

But, if you’re a believer, you need more than a worldly plan. You need a divine one. If you don’t include God, put Him first, in your goals then you won’t go nearly as far as you could with Him

Of course if you went out and got in your car you could probably drive a while, but with a full tank of gas you could go further. More than that, God gives us an oil change, new interior, upgraded engine, heated seats, bomb radio… you get the picture 😂

With God, we are so much more than our measly human willpower could ever make us.

So how do we dream with God?

You start by making time. Carve out a few hours, or preferably a whole day, to spend time with God. As much as you can manage. Your first and best is what He desires. Do more than just add Him in.

Then, pray. Set the intention of the time with Him. Tell Him what you want to talk about today. For example: Heavenly Father, today I pray for insight and wisdom in regards to my fitness goals, career goals, and relationships. Please speak to me Lord, your servant is listening.

After that, try to seek out a place of solitude. I prefer natural locations, but a cozy chair or alone in your bedroom does just fine. I plan on spending time at the park this week during my day with Jesus. Spend as much time alone with God as you can. Don’t try to make this into a community thing, you can do that on another day.

When you’re in the place that you’re most comfortable, take out a notebook, and your Bible. I recommend reading Proverbs 31. As a woman, I feel as if this passage embodies a great deal of “dream girl” qualities. Take notes: what stands out to you? Do you have these qualities? What ones do you want the most? What seems easy to attain? What seems difficult? Pray over these thoughts. Voice them to the Lord.

Then, get your notebook and write out a series of categories you’d like to pray over. Ask the Holy Spirit which to go over first. Calm your mind, and listen. He will speak if you ask Him. His word says so. (Ps. I can make a post about listening to the Holy Spirit if you wish. It’s something I’m still working on in my journey, but I have learned a lot)

Once you have your answer, ask God what He sees for you here. And include your own dreams that you’ve been thinking of as well. Notice how you dream bigger with Him? Pray thoroughly over each category He brings to your intention

Ask Holy Spirit what category you need to focus on in life. Chances are, it will be first your spiritual health, and then something else. Seek first the kingdom of God, and all else will be given to you!

Get creative! Create a vision board, NOT for manifestation. You do not have power. There is no secret. No universal power except Jesus. I could talk all day about this, but for now, this is not for manifestation. This vision board is to see what God has for you. To pray over your dreams and goals with Him. To express yourself creatively as He made you. You can also begin journaling your time with God. Write music if that’s something you do.

Remember, the Bible says you have not because you ask not. Always speak your desires to God. He is not a genie in a bottle. He won’t just grant it. If it aligns with His will for you, you’ll receive it in due time. But if you never ask, if you never listen, you’ll never receive.

Thank God for all that you have, and for the wisdom He gave you. Spend your day planning to achieve your dreams in the way God reveals to you.

You’re a princess. Daughter of the King of Kings! Listen to His wisdom, and go out there and be the most successful you’ve ever been! Lean on Him often.
