Just saw the answer.. How I didn't see it earlier is shocking to me. To answer the question, it's about her life, and where her inspiration for writing began. etc etc. The teacher said that basically anything about her would be acceptable..
Ah, I was hoping you would say that!
You definitely need to watch Sylvia with Gwyneth Paltrow and Daniel Craig. It's amazing. And it's the perfect way to learn about her life. Most of it is accurately biographical and a lot of the script is actual quotes by her and from her writing. And it's just an incredibly unforgettable and well put together movie. If you have the time and patience, I would recommend you read The Unabridged Journals of Sylvia Plath. If you don't have the time for that, I would definitely suggest reading Ariel, one of her collections of poems. They're amazing as well. My favorites by her are in that collection. Poets.org is a great resource for biographical information. And you should listen to her actually reading her poetry. YouTube has a bunch of recordings and they're all worth listening to. And in regards to finding information I would try to use databases rather than most websites, because a lot of them tend to be biased.
So good luck! I'm sure you'll do a wonderful job. She really is a fascinating subject to research. You will love her poetry. Let me know if I can help at all with anything else! <3
So, I'm doing a report on Sylvia Plath and I remember seeing on here that you love her. Can you please help me out? ^^ Anything you have is useful.. Thanks in advance!
Oh goodness, I don't even know where to begin! I guess it would depend on what you have to write. Are you doing a report on her life? Or are you analyzing her writing? I would be more than thrilled to help you, but I would need a bit more to go off of first ;)
