Liam's worked toward being a teacher his entire life, well the totality of four too many years, and his first year of teaching kindergarten is probably his most eventful year. He probably puts a little too much effort into things his kids won't even bother to notice but he doesn't mind. Liam's kids are his kids and he'll do anything to make sure they get ahead, or in some cases back to where they're supposed to be. Along the way he'll try not to lose his temper with Louis, the rambunctious, or feel too bad for disciplining Harry, Louis' follower, and he'll try really hard not to give up on Niall, the hyperactive, who seems intent on not learning to read. If he finds love in the music teacher down the hall along the way, well, that's just something he can't help.

Slow It Down

"What do you think of it all?" Louis asks as he straightens out the waves of his hair and checks to make sure he has his ticket for the Manchester show tucked safely in his pocket.

Zayn leans back against the mirror from his perch on the bathroom sink. His arms are folded over his chest and he looks like Louis' just asked him to punch him in the mouth. "It's all a bit sticky," he begins with a lick of his lips. "It's like driving straight into a wall without any airbags. All you can do is close your eyes and hope for the best because, hell, you hit the brakes the best that you could."

A fic where Louis' always a little too close to alcohol poisoning and hates stuffed animals with a passion, while Harry's got glasses and sees the end of his book coming a little too soon.

Ebb and Flow

Louis is a drifter and Harry's family owns the Luxtenshire inn. Louis can't keep his feet on the same ground for more than a few days at a time, more or less feel for someone other than himself. Harry wants to change that.

Zayn lives with his best friend Liam at the Luxtenshire Inn while they try to make it in the music business, they might drink too much on occasion but love each other nonetheless. Niall is a drug addict but is loved by Harry's family even when he doesn't pay his rent.

Two Graduations, or, Spy Camp is a real thing

So I'm heading home in a few hours just for the weekend mostly to go to my Dad's graduation from Bible school. This means I'll miss the seniors at WU graduating but I spent all day yesterday with a lot of them and got a "Black Alumni Council" padfolio from Freeman Word and Injustice: Gods Among Us from Mikkel so I feel like presents are cool, too, and it's kind of like i'm the one that graduated. Also learned from Will Dahl that Spy Camp is a real thing and that his life is like Donny Darko and worked with Osman on our upcoming webcoming Kickbacks (working title). Still wish I could go to both graduations to support but also graduations are kind of boring and all the same pretty much. 

All the love to Class of 2013, may you not be ever cursed by the number 13 and go do life and rock and let me crash on your couch one day when I am poor before I am super rich.

 Something beautiful was happening outside, her father was telling her, but she couldn't see it.

 “Snow,” said Penny’s father.

 “That’s what this is about?” said Penny. She stood there in her Princess Jasmine pajamas, the drawing room feeling tall around her.

 “Ah,” said her father as he put a finger up. He winked at her and walked over to the wall, then flipped off the lights. The scene outside the window sprung into view. “First snow,” he said, “beautiful, isn’t it?”

 It was the golden of the streetlamps that captivated her. The film of snow that covered everything felt far too doll house and delicate beauty. But there was something about the streetlight, the way the shadow looked cast across the snow like an omen or a dark sword. 

Gotta go eat and pack
