The Bonding of the orders
Both Kae and I are playing “The Dark Eye” (DSA in German) this weekend, so most posts will be random, if any. Back to a more regular posting schedule on Monday :3
Here’s a random scene between the Illidari and the Knights of the Ebon Blade to tide you over!
Kayn Sunfury never would have expected to go into battle together with the Order of the Ebon Blade. Oh, naturally they would both fight together in a strategic sense, doing their best to help the other Azerothian forces destroy the Burning Legion. But he had never expected to exclusively do battle with just this one order and do so with all the planning involved beforehand too boot!
But his Lady Slayer had insisted and so here he was, standing front of the Tomb of Sargeras, watching the battle. Beside him was Koltiras Darkweaver and, for a very particular reason, Kayn felt a large amount of empathy towards his counterpart. “You… You have the same problem? Don’t misunderstand me, I don’t mean that in a bad sense… just… well…. You know?”
Koltiras, who never was one for humor or much sugarcoating gave him a look. “Is my Deathlord as much of a psychotic lover of a good battle as your Lady Slayer appears to be? Yes, very much so. I suppose that is how they must have bonded. I’ve lost any sense of empathy with my undeath, so I can’t really sympathize. But yes, they do appear to be the same on that account.”
Both men, incidentally both blood elves, shared a look, as they watched their respective leaders weave around demons. They were shouting with glee as demonic blood was split and heads literally rolled. And… what where they doing now? Was that a S.E.L.F.I.E Camera? It was. Kayn groaned as he watched his glorious leader take a photograph with her newest friend, both drenched in blood and a horde of demons charging from behind. Koltiras didn’t say anything, as was his norm.
Both acknowledged that this was now their lot in life. At least they did not have to endure it on their own.
