Yet another stunning commission by @cutekoala1001! (I should just re-name my blog to “Art by Cute Koala” at this point 🙈).

This is a typical scene out of a dance class with Breck and Mortimer. Here they are silently mocking Kickenklober behind his back during one of his droning academic monologues about dance. With Odalys between them wishing she wasn’t associated with them and trying to keep from getting dragged into their antics once again.

As always, @cutekoala1001’s poses, expressions, lineart, colors and mood are masterful. My favorite part about this is how their jaws and lips stick out lol I call that the “monke pout” 🙈 My favorite monke expression 😡

between klaus and odalys, who initiates the first kiss? who confesses their love first? 🥺

Ask far as confessing love is concerned, I guess I’d have to say it would be Odalys. And this is why:

(I headcannon that) Klaus, due to the nature of his job, is surrounded by people all the time, but his relationships are basically shallow. 

He is accustomed to people approaching him because they want something from him, like a role in a show or a recommendation or a good word from him. To most people, he is just a springboard for their own careers and aspirations. 

Therefore, he would not expect anyone to be genuinely attracted to him, or for anyone to genuinely want to be his friend. 

He probably assumes that Odalys, who has no formal dance background, is no different from anyone else. He would think that, as an amateur dancer, she just sees him as a means to enter the dance industry. He would suppress any romantic feelings he has for her in order to avoid getting hurt. 

So basically, it would have to be Odalys because I think Klaus would have too many insecurities and inhibitions 💔 🥺 💔 

For the first kiss, this would presumably be after love is confessed, so inhibitions would be less of an issue. I guess I could see it either way. 

[Edit: I can see Odalys initiating the first friendly kiss (like on the nose), but Klaus giving the first romantic kiss on the lips.]

Here to post another incredible commission by @cutekoala1001 🤩 I absolutely love this piece, everything from the poses and expressions to Odalys’ outfit.

This is an alternate version of my fic: it’s Odalys’ second lesson with Klaus. (In the first lesson, she showed up in her normal athleisure clothes, and he demanded to know why she came to a dance lesson wearing pajamas). Totally embarrassing since everyone else was dressed properly. She bought these clothes literally right after the first dance lesson. And here she is muddling through the steps while he fixes every tiny thing about her posture.

This picture and story really mirror my life because this absolute butthead of a monkey inspired me to take dance lessons!! 🙈 And like Odalys, I literally had no idea what clothes to wear to a ballroom lesson, and I felt very out of place. But it took me way longer than one day to figure it out. Thankfully my actual instructors are way nicer than he is.

I was low key interested in dance before, but I’ve always been a really busy person, and I never took dance seriously until Kickenklober inspired me to make it a priority in my life. And my life is a thousand times better than it used to be because of this decision! I really owe a lot to this movie.

So....I love Sing 2 sm and I love Jimmy and my sing oc Jasmine Coastal so here's an artwork of her and a little lore drop

So before jimmy inherited his father's company, he was apart of an arrange marriage with coastal, they spent a lot of time together as teens, they argued a little but also related to eachothers problems, which later on caused them to develop feelings for eachother. While they argued alot, those feelings were infact very real, and had a huge impact on eachother, even as separated adults they can't seem to live without one another. The reason why they left eachother and ditched the arranged marriage was because at a party hosted by their parents that was supposed to be an engagement party, they had a back and fort on what eachother were wearing because Coastal wanted them both to wear purple, but Crystal wanted them to wear blue, and when they saw what eachother was wearing, it would be natural that both would disagree and get into a heated argument, as they argued he accidentally spilled wine on her dress, caught up in the moment, he left without saying a word, but not for the reason she thought it was. He left to find something or someone to help clean the stain, But because he took so long and also left without explanation, she mistook his actions as him leaving for good, so she also left and went home, when he got back he was even more pissed at himself for not explaining sooner but also pissed at her for not giving him the chance to explain. After that they went their separate ways and continue to try and bring eachother down, emotionally, and in the entertainment industry. This artwork, or photo in particular was taken by one of jasmine photographers, right before jimmy arrived, it was supposed to be a gift she had ordered her photographer to give him after the event, but the photographer gave him after the heated argument and after she left, so jimmy not being in the mood, tore it in half and crumpled it up, he quickly regretted his actions and took it with him home, he fixed it and now has it saved in a secret box he keeps to himself. His ego tells him that he only saved the photo as a reminder to never let anyone hurt him again, but in reality he keeps it because it is the only memory he has of her actually being happy, as Jasmine Coastal is known as a very Aggresive and Ignorant person.

Kickenklober Appreciation Blog

Well, I’m finally getting around to changing my introductory pinned post (the other one said I was new to Tumblr, and that was at the beginning of 2023). 

And you read the title correctly: this is a Kickenklober appreciation blog! 

Yes, I appreciate Klaus Kickenklober. The worst character from Sing 2. In fact, I have been hyperfixated on him since March of 2022 (it is now June of 2026). It was entirely unintentional. It was a thing that my brain did by itself, against my wishes. And it was my first (and so far only) hyperfixation, so it kind of actually scared me! It’s kind of a scary experience to have your brain thinking very strong and very crazy thoughts by itself for an extended period of time, while you watch helplessly. 

I saw the movie by accident. Because I’m a pretty overscheduled person, and I don’t really watch movies. For whatever reason, my brain latched on to him--a character with less than 5 minutes of screen time--and on to the other primates in the movie. 

So this is a blog dedicated to my primary Kickenklober hyperfixation, and to my secondary monkey hyperfixation that Kickenklober ushered in. 

Listen: I didn’t choose monkeys. Monkeys chose me. I tried to resist, but monkeys don’t take “No” for an answer. Seriously, just go and Google videos of them. Watch what happens when people try to tell them “No.”

With this said, I feel like I should have a few disclaimers on this post:

Kickenklober is basically an abusive character. I do not support what he did to Johnny or anyone else in the movie. 

However, I feel like he is a misunderstood character, and you will see why I think so in the pages of my blog. This is not an excuse for his behavior. It’s an explanation for it. 

I think that, underneath Klaus’ abrasive exterior personality, there is a very sweet monkey who simply loves dance and wants others to experience the joy of dance. And for some bizarre reason that to this day I am still not able to understand fully, it is very healing to me to see his real personality come out. And this has had a very big impact on my life. 

We only see a glimpse of this “real” personality at the end of the movie, when he accepts his defeat in the dance fight against Johnny. My brain, however, wants MORE: MORE insight into Kickenklober’s personality, MORE details about his childhood and backstory, MORE information about what it’s like to be a top dance professional in a ruthless entertainment industry, and what he had to do to get there.

But since MORE doesn’t exist in the movie, my brain has to create it.  And that’s what my blog is about.

Odalys (capuchin monkey): crushes on Klaus, goes to extreme and stupid measures just to impress him. 

Breck (gorilla) and Mortimer (chimpanzee): Odalys’ bluntly honest friends who make fun of her crush, but who try to help her anyway, and only make things worse. 

Eloïse (proboscis monkey): Klaus’ cousin who irritates the crap out of him. Because he’s so cute when he’s mad. Which is all of the time. Grumpe monke 😡

Also, I wrote a fic about this on AO3. (I’m girlmonkey_odalys there). It is the most ridiculous fic in the entire Sing fandom, but you are welcome to read it! 

Spoiler: the whole point of the fic was for Kickenklober to be healed and to find true love and friendship. With random monkey shenanigans mixed in. I haven’t finished it, so this hasn’t happened yet.

I’m here to post another stunning commission of one of my monkey OCs by @cutekoala1001! This is Odalys teaching a Bumza class, getting distracted by something (probably Breck and Mortimer’s antics). I wish I wasn’t so overscheduled; maybe then I’d have time to re-learn how to draw her 😭 She looks so good in @cutekoala1001’s style 🤯 I especially love how thick the fur is on her shoulders (totally like an irl capuchin) and the cute little curl at the bottom of her tail (also true for capuchins; their tails are prehensile). And the hands look so natural!! And the face fur is perfect! 😍😍😍 Face fur is so important to me, it’s like a marker of good monkey OC-ness. If I see a monkey character, I must evaluate its face fur 🧐 🙈
