yappin ab the werewolves in rooks story but i got tired so theyre all facing left and look the same akgsdfsdf
I was actually looking up wolf in native languages and saw his name there although i am now intrigued as to what his original irish nane was and how he didnt lose the accent yet most foreigners i know lose them after a few years here?
Sing: Ah'm not one tae tull mah ald name, as h'it brings mah no small biut ahf paen, but as tae mah accent. Y'see, ah visut ehverh year. Spend ah couple'h weeks tharh, k'heep it h'up. Ahnd Skiri'ki helps tae, althah he daes it fer tae lasses. Ah live h'in secklushion, which helpuhs tae, an ah daen't talk tae maneh peohple.
A/N Sing and Skiri live together on a sheep farm (among other smaller things) and sell the meat, bones, some of the pelts, every little thing. They're complete famers (or whatever the proper term is), although Skiri'ki keeps a lot of the pelts for himself. Skiri runs the business side, and practices (yes, practices) his accent whenever he can because girls find it "sexy" and he uses that to his advantage when getting one out of a dangerous bar. "Ye kin cahum wit' me, lasseh," is a lot more appealing than "Come on outside you girl,". Sing, however, spends all of his time out with the sheep, and most if not all of his interaction is with Hahna and Skiri, one of whom is accentless and the other does his very best to keep it up as best as possible for Sing.Skiri also has no small fortune of - well, of everything. From exceptionally old "artifacts", including weapons he used in wars, to tapestries, war horns, some clothing, you name it. He's spent a lot of time making sure he and Sing are comfortable in their home in the small town they live in, and over the many, many years he has lived has amassed quite a lot of money in banks in many places. (As well as stocks, bonds, etc - he's not stupid.) So Skiri can easily afford to send Sing back home twice a year for two weeks each time. He could probably do it on the money that comes in from their farm, but that's his business. Also, most people do lose it, you're right, but many do not! You can tell a New Yorker from a Texan with no trouble, right? You can tell an Irishman from an American too, I bet. So he wouldn't ever truly lose it, and after speaking in the accent for gods know how many hundreds of years overseas, coming to the US really wouldn't change anything. One final note on this, many people who've lived in different areas can turn their accents "on and off", and speak in and out of accent when they please.
and more Sing! Finally colured. Again design by Earthytones, with little edits by me! I'm excited to draw him more~
YET ... ANOTHER....... ADOPTED........DESIGN
That's all I draw anymore (no kidding) but I really need to draw these guys and Sing just appeared happily into my hands like the best kind of molding clay, and goddess but was he fun. I AM PROUD OF MYSELF. FUCKING LOOK AT THAT SHIT. It's a GUY it's not a dancer or a thin whippet it's a MAN ahahahahaha (I should not stay up until 2AM) but for serious I'm honestly astounded as to how the hell I managed to actually DRAW this WELL. This is so far out of my comfort zone I'm lost, and yet somehow it looks okay????? YAY
Anyways Singarti, nicknamed 'Sing'. Good friend of Skiri'ki, came from the same place he did probably maybe they were at the least boyhood and lifetime friends. Sing tends to live out with the sheep on Skiri's land, and is often just lost to him for days at a time, out ranging the little bit of wilderness he's found in the backwoods town Skiri lives in. They are quite literally the best of friends, and share a bond that might as well make them brothers. Sing too wears a kilt (although he adorns his with a sash [the name of which escapes me tired] as well) and all that goes along with it, but as to the bows in his fur:
[1/12/13 1:00:31 AM] Cassandra: Skiri'ki although he doesn't really tell anyone is pretty much ageless, and I'm going to suppose this fellow is too, but unlike Skiri he fell into the trap of making a family, and they did not turn out to have his agelessness
[1/12/13 1:01:02 AM] Cassandra: So even though it was possibly hundreds of years ago, his daughters used to tie bows in his ruff when he was sleeping/in a chair by the fire/especially when they knew he was about to be off to battle
Copied from skype cause I'm a lazy ass. BUT yeah I really like him, he's like putty, so unlike many of my other characters it's a relief to finally have someone shouting their story at me. I'm SUPER excited to do his colurs tomorrow (maybe), Earthytones on dA did this design for me and I love it and I can't WAIT to make him all done and pretty (even though I avoided lineart because no) when I get the chaaance
