On hold with Social Security Administration for 30 minutes for a lady to say just print out a paper application and mail it in.. You should get a response in 7-10 days. Because I don't need a social security card to work or anything.. I'll just wait some more.

I've been waiting 10 years to start my life and now all three of my children are school age and there's this Covid-19 insanity..

So while I show my daughter how to open her own snacks for preschool I also have to measure her little ears for mask loops because their father sees no reason to keep them in distance learning. My opinion means very little to him obviously.. which is just one of a million reasons we split up a year ago next month for the third and final time..

The kids miss their friends and I'm hoping playing with masks all summer will have them wearing them in class.

Miss my babies.. can't wait till this is all over.

I just want a decent job, a nice home, and a bedroom for each of my children and maybe Mommy..

Leaving their father was the hardest thing I ever did, and I did it as much for them as I did for me.

They don't ever have to see or hear us fight again. I don't have to justify his ridiculous childish behavior anymore.

(via A Kinder Gentler New Year) Naturally people tend to reflect on the year coming to a close and visualize a new year starring themselves, minus all the things they’d like to change. I imagine hopping out of bed, writing perfect prose for an hour before reading a chapter in my pile of books before cooking a breakfast involving kale and maybe even some yoga or taking the dog for a mile run. If I got up at 4, I could totally swing that. Probably for most of a week, but by Friday I would probably sleep past my alarm, forget I have a dog in my I’m-sooooo-late panic, run a red light, get a ticket, and show up late to an important meeting in hopelessly half-ironed clothes looking generally homeless.

(via Reinvention Time) I don’t know about you, but when I found myself suddenly single, it rocked my world. My roles as mom, wife, and miracle worker with children defined my existence mostly as a result of how I invested my time and the value I placed on being a good mom and wife. And there was a whopping 15 minutes left for myself in the morning with a cup of coffee and solitude in one indented place on the couch each morning for just about as long as I could remember.I had no clue what to do with an entire Thursday night. Alone. Me and the geriatric cat. And I’m not a cat person…It was reinvention time.

Bounce Bounce Bounce Bounce Bounce

I got Sage a Johnny Jump Up because all he does when you hold him is jump up and down. He loves it! He bounces, he twirls, he giggles, I can pee by myself!

Since our house doesn't have a lot of molding around, I put it in my bathroom facing my bedroom. After him being in it for the first time for less than a minute, I also scotch-taped receiving blankets to the door frame so he doesn't bonk his head.

Farmer's Market

So I went to the Farmer's Market today, not for vegetables, but to find mommy friends.

There were loads of moms there. But all of their children were walking/talking. No babies. No one even close to Sage's age.

Except one woman, her older child was running in circles around the stroller in nothing but a diaper. JUDGE. Sorry.

There were a ton of older women there, telling me how adorable Sage is, which I loved.

But I was really hoping for some mommy friends. I spent like 3 hours there prowling.

Instead I bought kettle corn, fed Sage in the park, had some Jesus people offer me raffle tickets, and went home.

Bah.

Eventually I will find mom friends. In the meantime my grandma's visit me. My dad's mom (I call her baby G-ma, she's tiny) visited today, and Pillows is visiting tomorrow. I love them!

Dear Fuckstick FOB,

You Suck Balls and are stupid I am glad you are interested in being in Sage's life although I think you only are because he has a penis. I would like to remind you that we are not together Because you are an assfuck and left me homeless, treated me like shit, and didn't care about your child until you found out Sage has a penis. When you come down to see Sage, Don't fucking touch me please respect my personal space. And eat shit.
