Happy March Y’All! ..... I is struggling. I've felt like I was losing steam, but I’m tryna stay positive. Once again, I did a 𝐥𝐨𝐭 of eating out. On the plus side, the large majority of it was w others & not by myself. Think I'll decrease some categories to add more to fun money since I've gone over two months in a row now. Also had car issues so I need to increase my car sinking fund. It's about thirteen years old so I suppose it's to be expected. Even though that will lower my loan payoff 😞😔😪 ⁣ ⁣ Send prayers. Happy December Y'All! One more payment this year and then I'll be done with my *undergrad* student loans FOREVER. (ahead of my loan servicer's target for me 🙄) Everything didn't go according to plan and schedule but I'm still doin the damn thang and proud of myself 😌⁣ ⁣ Over budget on spending money due to a bad day. And slightly over on grocery budget. Happy November Y'All! On this last undergrad student loan before my grad loan mountain. Happy October Y'All! Took me the HOTTEST 👏🏾 of SKRESSFUL 👏🏾 minutes tryna figure out this Great Lakes nonsense -- but I'm down to one undergrad student loan left before my grad loan mountain! That 💩 should take two months. 💪🏾😎⁣ ⁣ Went on a whole cruise (my first!) while paying down debt 🙃 but now I love cruises and will do more when I'm debt-free. Happy June Y’All! A HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who liked and commented on my post. I wanted to track this journey for myself and was so scared to post but y'all were so encouraging!⁣ ⁣ This month I paid off the SIX smallest of my ELEVEN student loans! I took out two each year in undergrad and three during grad school 🤦🏾‍♀️. In last month's hashtags, I said I was saving for a car I didn't 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝. I took that $10K 😱, $1K from savings (still got my starter emergency fund 😅), this year's $1K tax return 😳, and threw it at my debt. Took me jus over two yrs to save all tht. Could do it in nine months now. But if I needed, I'll take four months to save for a temp clunker instead. I drove my '98 Nissan Sentra w 225,000 miles, an engine prone to overheating & a steering wheel tht shook if I drove over 65. Best believe, I'm finna drive my '07 Toyota Camry for a hot minute.⁣ ⁣ Budget was okay.
