Tell me about your first school dance!!
(Sorry I’m just getting to this now!! I didn’t notice it until I was at school and the app would crash whenever I tried to answer it!)
I wish I could give a long exciting story about my first school dance but honestly I don’t remember much, just bits and pieces. I remember the theme was Disney and I wanted to go as Tiana from The Princess and the Frog but I didn’t have a dress that would work until like four days before the dance. Me, my friend, and her grandma were at the mall and we saw the perfect dress but I didn’t have money so my friends grandma bought it for me because it was like $10 and she had a coupon so really it was like $5 (still super grateful haha). And I remember my friend was Jasmine and neither of us had dates so it was just us and it was pretty fun. I’m not a huge “school dance” person (also I suck at dancing in general but it didn’t matter since my school was really just a ton of really white people with like 4 people that could actually kinda dance) but it was still fun. The only specific memory from the actual dance that I have is this guy (probably a junior/senior) coming up and dancing with us randomly. It wasn’t inappropriate or anything but it was just kind of weird and as a freshman I hardly knew anybody so it was kind of seared into my brain haha.
