Sylar had no idea how this would go, truthfully. He was fairly certain it wouldn't be anything too bad, even if he did get turned down, it was Sinistra after all. She was his best friend, and he thought it would take much more than this to drive a wedge between them. But it was still quite ridiculous sounding at first, he knew, and beyond that, rather a lot to ask. Still, he had to try. They'd met for dinner, not weird in and of itself. He'd made sure her favorite wine was on the table before they'd even sat down, waiting until the appetizers were cleared and the bottle half emptied before he broached the topic.
He finished his glass and leaned back as he set it down, pinning her with an appraising look. There was a natural lull in their conversation, and he knew it was now or never. He was getting anxious - not to ask, that prospect didn't make him particularly nervous, but to know her answer. "We should get married." He said, seemingly out of the blue, the casual tone to his words in stark contrast to the subject he'd just broached. But it wasn't your usual proposal, was it?
