I am so late on commenting on your Tobias Funke/Tobias-Four post, but oh my god. I had the same exact problem. I could not take him seriously at all until halfway into the book. :')
I’m so glad I’m not the only one! At first all I could see were knitted sweaters, denim cut-offs and socks paired with sandals. I kept cringing waiting for him to refer to him self as an ‘Analrapist’ or say he ‘blue himself’.
I personally didn't like the books. I attempted reading the first one in the series, when TVD first started, but couldn't stand the writing and the lack of depth in the characters. The show is definitely the better of the two, or at least in my opinion. Try it out, though. Who knows, you might like them more than I did. :)
Hmm... you're the only one so far who's said they'd prefer the TV show over the books. That hardly ever happens, lol. But it gives me some more insight, so thank you!
sinnamomum answered your question: My dearest followers,
I have a some recommendations on my blog, both high fantasy and contemporary. :)
Awesome I'll check it out! :)
