Atlanta, Georgia - Sedric Lionheart, lead vocalist for the famed rock band, Sinners, collapsed on stage during their performance at the Lakewood Amphitheater last night. Fellow band members rendered aid until paramedics arrived. Mr. Lionheart was rushed to Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia, where it was determined that he had burst a blood vessel in his throat.
Mr. Lionheart was rushed into emergency surgery to stop the severe bleeding and repair damage to his throat. It is undetermined as to what lead to the cause of this potentially career ending injury or how long Mr. Lionheart has been afflicted with any pain associated with his throat and vocal chords.
Undisclosed sources from Emory University Hospital state that Mr. Lionheart’s condition was dire when he arrived due to the amount of blood loss. The source also stated that a long healing process is to be expected and that scar tissue on his vocal chords may prevent him from singing professionally again.
Future Sinners concert dates have been postponed indefinitely.
