          ☾                        ❛  so where are we going tonight?   ❜  another date night, katherine’s favorite time of the week! she’d even gone out and bought a new dress for the occasion! she’d spent maybe twenty minutes twirling around in her mirror once she’d put it on. it was probably one of the nicer things she’d purchased in a long time and she was quite happy with herself. the soft pink material clung to all the right curves and gave her a little lift where she needed it. if her hand wasn’t currently enveloped in elias’, there was no doubt she’d still be running her hands over it. 

                 glancing up at the other man in anticipation for his answer, she couldn’t help the wide grin that stretched across her lips. katherine could maybe count on one hand the amount of times in her life she’d ever considered herself lucky, and this most certainly was at the very top of that list. what were the chances that a randomly purchased bus ticket would bring her straight to the man that would piece her back together? she contantly thanked whatever was out there for smacking her in the face ( quite literally ) with the poster for his therapy class. for once, just maybe, things were finally gonna go right in her life.

“Well that went better than I thought it would.” *plot spiciness intensifies*

elettra found herself shooting a daggers with her green hues towards elias, not quite finding the same sense of humor in being found together the next morning. she refused to acknowledge his comment, however, incoherent mumblings under her breath being the only sign that she heard him as she struggled to pull on her skirt from the night before. once she finally accomplished her task, elettra walked to the bedroom door to switch the lock; something that should have been done in the first place. “care to tell me how the hell you’re not freaking out about them running their mouths to someone else right about now?”

never in a million years did elettra believe that this was how her life was going to turn out. as a little girl, she obsessed over old movies and television shows that depicted the traditional family dynamic— a mother and father, in love, taking care of their children. no arguments. no nannies. just two people in love raising a family without a care in the world. she never quite understood why her family never acted the same way as the ones she admired on the television. while her beloved characters had family dinners, her parents would fight at the dinner table. when her beloved characters took care of their children, elettra and her sister was more often than not left behind with the nanny. all the while the two of them refused to leave each other, preferring to pretend like everything was as fine just like elettra’s favorite characters on the big screen.

to say that their behavior had a lasting impact on their beloved daughter was an understatement. it was no wonder why elettra acted out more often than not with her skewed sense of love; which had only been made worse over the years with repeated betrayals. as she sat there at the edge of the bed with her head in her hands, she couldn’t help but to let her mind wander to how the two of them got into this predicament in the first place. this hadn’t been the first time the risk of pregnancy loomed over her head— but then again, it was the first time it happened with her fiance’s brother.

“siamo inculati.” elettra didn’t think twice about resorting to her native language. she lifted her head from her hands to look over at the clock, time seemingly standing still, before her eyes landed on elias. she didn’t need a test to confirm what she already knew in her heart. “what the fuck are we going to do?”

           time was ticking and the more she sat around and did nothing, the more jittery she had gotten.   things were never going to be the same without taking action but it was as if everyone had given up.   the snap had decimated those who were close to her - the people she looked at as the family she had only had.   of course she wanted to change things...make everything go back to how it used to be but on her own that was far from anything that could possibly happen.    she had to get away from reality for a bit,   ended up in a town where she had no clue existed because it was one she had never heard of.   many sleepless nights had passed and her energy had been drained a long time ago so a cup of coffee would assist to the 𝐬𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 energy boost that she was in need of.   walking along the streets had led her to this cafe which didn’t look so special but who’s to complain about surroundings when this was nowhere near 𝐇𝐎𝐌𝐄. not being an avid coffee drinker but knowing a few things about it she had gotten to the counter and began to speak to the cashier. ‘ 𝐈 𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐋𝐋𝐘 𝐃𝐎𝐍’𝐓 𝐊𝐍𝐎𝐖 𝐀𝐍𝐘𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐀𝐁𝐎𝐔𝐓 𝐎𝐑𝐃𝐄𝐑𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐂𝐎𝐅𝐄𝐄, 𝐈 𝐉𝐔𝐒𝐓 𝐍𝐄𝐄𝐃 𝐒𝐎𝐌𝐄𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐓’𝐋𝐋 𝐓𝐀𝐊𝐄 𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐒 𝐒𝐋𝐔𝐆𝐆𝐈𝐒𝐇 𝐅𝐄𝐄𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐀𝐖𝐀𝐘. ❝ Your pain.... does it still haunt you? ❞ She can SEE it; tormented stories nestled under his ribcage, his skull. Always just one move closer to digging in and hitting him where it hurts. She can FEEL it, too. Tragic pasts are her life line; keeping her THRIVING with sadness and h a t r e d in her veins, and she doesn't have to hear his story to know he's fallen upon TRAGEDY. However long ago it may be. ❝ Oh, what am I saying? That was silly of me to ask. No one should offer up such information - vulnerability is a weakness, and weakness won't be your SAVIOR. However, I can be. ❞ Perhaps it was poetic. Her heart only continues to beat with the misfortunes of others, but here she is, prowling the streets, local stores and bars of whatever miserable hole she wandered upon this week. Prowling for someone to fix, because everyone she had moved on or wasn't strong enough. A hand extends between them, red tinted lips curling in a sweet smile. ❝ You can call me Abigail.                ‘ 𝐓𝐑𝐔𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆 someone isn’t my strongest ability at this very moment if you hadn’t noticed. ’  it’s only been a course of a couple of months and her life was getting no better - if anything, it was deteriorating from its core. her own 𝐅𝐋𝐄𝐒𝐇 and blood was ready to ruin humanity in its entire and she had no way on stopping it, seeing as a simple statement that went against his beliefs would lead her to the hell that bestowed the upper bedroom in the place she’d call home. the one thing she didn’t want to do was go against someone whom she thought she could trust, but once the 𝐮𝐧𝐟𝐚𝐢𝐫 treatments had begun things needed to end. winter wanted to be the one to bring an end to the misery that started to become her life but even she knew that on her own nothing would end well for every party that was involved. 

               elias, someone who wanted to 𝐇𝐄𝐋𝐏 her? with everything that’s going on trust was far from the surface in her eyes, and trusting someone who she was just getting to know? as far as she knew he could just be trying to butter her up, to blind side her and run off to her brother with the plans she was making. though his questions made him seem as if he was doing no harm and just truly trying to help. ‘ what have i got to 𝐋𝐎𝐒𝐄 ? the rest of the sanity i’m barely holding onto. ’

                    it was simple walk through the woods after tony’s funeral     ;     levi was in her black dress,     eli in a black tux after he accompanied her to the event.     she’d left stephen to go back to the sanctum,     make sure everything was okay.     she wanted to go with him,     but she couldn’t     ;     still couldn’t grasp that he’d been brought back from the dead after all,     couldn’t grasp that she could physically touch him again.     eli’s hand on the small of her back wasn’t as comforting as she needed it to be,     but it keeps her from breaking down.     she desperately wanted to be wrong,     wanted there to be another way to WIN without killing tony     ;     but nothing worked that way.     ❛     .     .     .     i didn’t want this life.     i never asked for this.     ❜
