Balloon sinuplasty is a procedure that helps clear blocked sinuses. Unlike traditional sinus surgery, balloon sinuplasty requires no cutting and no removal of bone and tissue. Using technology similar to cardiac balloon catheterization, the sinuses can be entered through the nostrils and permanently dilated to relive sinus pressure, pain, headache, and infection.
