In three issues, Ian has destroyed several Deus Ex Machinas like the Ancient Walkers, the Source of All and the Sword of Acorn, reestablished Mogul and Naugus as threats, had a cool battle where everyone got to fight, a tear jerker with Sir Connery sacrificing himself, Elias taking the throne, Eggman killing Mecha and capturing Mogul...

It can be a headache, but Ian Flynn already injects Archie Sonic with life and energy into the comic, finally having things happen!!!

Sir Connery has never been a good character. Since his inception, he was merely written as a serious, shout-y knight who vanquished evil. In this issue, his sacrifice is used to end the Darkest Storm arc, defeat the all-powerful Mammoth Mogul and destroy the Source and the Acorn crown and sword. While this story is okay and full of characters we all enjoy fighting together, its still kind of obvious this arc was to clean up old plot threads and kill off characters (Mecha, Nack's partners, horse guy). Here’s hoping the rest of Ian Flynn’s clean-up are at least a good read..
