"I like you" the 3 words you don't want to hear from this girl.... One week before his wedding day, Jonah and his groomsmen hit the town for a wild night of club hopping. The night soon takes a twisted turn for the worse when the group is invited to a seedy underground club. After Jonah frees a seemingly imprisoned dancer, he realizes that the woman he released is actually a terrifying, legendary creature that will stop at nothing to claim her chosen mate. 2016's Siren is a feature length spin-off horror, based on the 2012 anthology lost found footage horror film VHS. Siren overall is your typical Sunday night B horror, but still is a surprisingly enjoyable watch, with a rather short runtime it doesn't fall into any unwanted cliché explanations or overbearing, but rather gets straight into the mayhem. With good performances from its main cast, also regarding the over the top performance of Justin Welborn who plays the eccentric Mr Nyx. Siren is a fresh experience that I would personally like to see more of in the character of Lily, and see what other directions could take place. Her design itself is quite unique and very unsettling in her appearance as a demonic succubus a combination of practical makeup and cgi that brings a fresh flair. Even with fimilar concepts and executions, I still found the film to be an enjoyable watch, not the best Horror film to view on a Sunday but I don't regret not watching always good to watch something new for a change, and it would be interesting to see if they could continue with this anthology storytelling. Verdict for Siren is a 5.7/10 ~Mr Myers #horrormoviesreviews #horrormovies #movietime🎥🎬 #siren2016 #moviereviews #horrorreview https://www.instagram.com/p/CZw9iWeMqXq/?utm_medium=tumblr
