Moonlight Sonata → Frank and Alice

WHO: Frank Longbottom and Alice Fortescue

WHERE: Gryffindor Common Room to the Lake

WHEN: Tuesday night

NOTES: All aboard the S.S. Fralice, officially setting sail into uncharted waters.

The cold winds had come early to Hogwarts this year; at night, they tasted like snow and ice from the North, causing Alice to shiver as she threw her coat on over her robes, ducking low so that the warring Gryffindor Tower wouldn't spot her.

Normally, Alice would have found herself in the thick of this sort of thing: although she avoided the worst of the drama, it was very difficult to extricate yourself from every angry situation, particularly when your best friend or your dorm mate was responsible for it. By the sounds of it, this fight was going to be a biggie, and Alice made a little face as she slinked down the stairs, hunching down to hide her barely-five feet frame from view.

The reason she was so eager not to be spotted was because -- her stomach did an excitable little flip -- she was going for a walk with Frank. It wasn't a date in the moonlight, with candles and roses and all the trappings, but it was certainly better than shared misery over Transfiguration homework, and Alice was jubilant. She would have liked to share her glee with Marlene, but the brash best friend was no where to be found; presumably, she had also decided to skip out on the weekly argument Gryffindor Tower.

With a steady breath to calm her nerves, Alice quickly pushed past a little knot of Third Years (two of whom were already taller than her, the brats), and slipped out the Portrait Hole, tightening her coat around her and glancing around for Frank. Just a walk, Fortescue, she reminded herself firmly. Just a walk. Deep breaths. Breathe. And go.

ooc; omg i would make nutella and peanut butter sandwiches when i was stressed at university. and if i had them i’d put a banana in there too because that’s ~healthy.

whoa whoa whoa. i only just learned that you can buy apples in bulk, don't rush the speeding process.

Yes. The Common Room became this variety of uncomfortable about twenty minutes ago. I’m stuck with unsettling mental images! Bloody unsettling!

Blimey, we haven't even cracked open the emergency Firewhiskey.
