Why did December and July commit suicide? I understand that July was emotional but was there another reason besides that?

July was one of the very neglected sisters. Whiles her other sisters fell back into each other, July was isolated and confided is romance foe comfort. This brought her to come in and out of relationships with men whom she thought loved her. This caused her heart break and true loneliness. Because of her past relationships she was accused of sleeping with multiple men. Kaards are coded to be strictly religious. Premarital sex was bad enough. Sleeping around was even worse.

She threatened to take her life by jumping off a tall structure. But she was only given encouragement, making her suicide driven by impulse.

She would have definitely tried to reach out to her family. However with the corruption and depression at the time, many of them had things going on. They wrote down her depression as her "being emotional".

I'm sure if they would have known, they would have defended her.
