she pops up from the ground next to the man, climbing to her feet. she squints up at him, then circles around him a few times. hm. perhaps a little formidable, but nothing she can't handle. with her little examination complete, abigail moves in front of the man and hovers up to his eye level.
o0oOoh. o0oo. she wails, folding her arms--then she produces a piece of charcoal from her overall pocket, along with a mini-sign. she scrawls on it and then holds it where the man can see: what's your deal, buddy? trying to leech off of my sister's resources? what's your game?
Before he can even think about anything else in that moment, he freezes.
No. Ghosts aren't real. Surely they're not real. They're too terrifying to be real.
But... she certainly looks real, and the sign looks real, and all he can do is stare with his jaw agape for a moment then frantically shake his head.
"No! No, I'm not trying to do that, I swear, I'm just lost!"
@sisturn said: ooOOoo0oo… @sisturn lets out a ghastly murmur without meaning, drifting around the odd creature. she grabs a twig and pokes magolor a few times. she starts to bonk him with it a little aggressively. “hey, wake up, you weird little orb! c’mon, you’re in the way.”
-----
Hoo boy he is...out of it. It takes the aggressive bonking to finally wake the halcandran up, flopping slightly onto his side with a faint groan before looking up at the strange...ghostly child.
"In the way of...wha...?" It didn't take long for him to hop up, hovering slightly as he looked around...where the hell was he?
"Wh...where...?" He's completely forgotten about the child that'd just been smacking him a second ago.
A tale of two sisters
wendy are you mad at abigail for what she did?
@sisturn is... : a low and ghastly groan rumbles from the ground beneath the fresh corpse of a butterfly. the lily’s petals twitch as it levitates into the air rapidly, white ectoplasm erupting from it and twisting into the quite vague form of a human. lo, Abigail enters the constant for the first time, sitting cross-legged on the ground. she stretches her arms above her head. a horrid noise escapes her—it could easily be mistaken for a dying scream were it not for the fact it wavers and tapers off like an innocent yawn. abigail then rubs her eyes, mumbling. “mmmn… wh’ time’s it? was gonna sleep in today…”
It had felt like an eternity since that day on the cliff. Maybe it was. She could count the days that had passed in this realm, but who knew how much time had passed outside of it? At any rate, there was something she had been working on, aside from the usual finding food and keeping a torch on her person when she could.
The man with her father's face had made her a promise, and if he hadn't kept his word, there would be hell to pay.
Although she hadn't understood the feeling emanating from the flower at first, it hadn't taken Wendy long to start putting the pieces together about what this flower might mean. Maybe it was her sister's presence, trying to break free even still.
She could only hope, after all. And through that, she had begun trying to do things while the flower had room to do something. Crafting things, collecting items, those first things didn't do all that much. She was brainstorming until she found a butterfly among the flowers. Although she normally wouldn't wish to hurt the small creature, she was getting somewhat battered, and those wings had quite the nutritional content. So, with the nearby flower still out, she murders the creature with her axe.
This causes the final piece to be taken. And in that spot, there her mirror stood.
Abigail had finally come back.
Wendy wasn't sure what to do now. She didn't want to cry, she had told herself to stop doing such a thing. But once it had happened, once she could truly see Abigail in the semi-flesh, the tears couldn't stop once they'd started. Her other was the same as ever, it was as if she hadn't even died. It felt so nice to see that, so good to know that spectral experiences she had faced hadn't changed her much. Or had she not even known? She didn't know, and frankly, it didn't matter.
"I-It's you... It's really you-" Wendy states, her voice quivers, before finally breaking into sobbing. "Thank god... Thank god..."
For the first time in a while, she felt able to let everything out.

It was a bit of an ordeal, trying to find materials to make this cooking tool. The fire may have been good enough to cook meat, but making a bigger variety of food might help the girl's health in the long run, especially if they were to begin farming for more plants than just carrots and assorted berries.
Things were looking up for Wendy, because at this point, she'd finally been able to prototype the contraption, meaning that it was done... But now, came the even more difficult part, which was learning how to use it. Thinking about it for some time, she turns to Abigail, who was already nearby.
"Abigail? Do you have any idea as to how to cook any sort of meal?" she asks, never having to cook before, and finding no interest in doing so herself. She could heat things, but mixing it together was a lot different. She didn't remember if Abigail had the same mindset as she, or if she remembered anything their mother made, but it wouldn't hurt just to ask, right?
@sisturn turns to face wendy, her rocky form clattering as she does so. she tilts her head and her eye squints. hrm… abigail approaches her, body posture lowered as she circles the other. “who are you?” the beast questions, releasing an ethereal growl, “what do you want?”
The rocky creature may have startled her, if it wasn't something she often saw. Beasts of the moon were a common occurrence, and it wasn't as though she wasn't seeking them out willingly. The trail likely continued, but how odd it was that there was something sapient on this road. Everything else seemed so bestial. Sometimes they would attack, others not. But at the very least, she could note that they were able to be reasoned with, even if they seemed quite hostile.
That voice almost seems familiar but... No, it may just be a trick of the mind, the moon could be like that at times.
Instead, she keeps her composure, as she speaks again. "I apologize for the disturbance... I had no intentions of bothering, I was merely following a path of a certain energy, and it led me to you... I'm searching for someone at the moment, you see?" she states, unwilling to fight. She had enough experiences with annoyed townsfolk at this point to know better than to start an argument. She need only finish one.
"Though, as I've traveled, I've never seen any creature as human-like as you... I don't mean anything by that, of course, it's just interesting is all..." The whispering tone of her voice tries to show a kindness on such a front, in order to compliment her curiosity. Hopefully, this wouldn't end in a brawl, especially seeing how large this creature was, and how they may just be able to overpower her.
