who: @sisyphians where: practicing area of the dueling club
A parchment in one hand, a quill in the other; that was how one could find Bellatrix mere minutes after the dueling club had finished their late evening session for the day. With a new year at Hogwarts came the usual fresh sign ups and it was safe to say that the witch was far from impressed. Now, she wasn't against all of them but with some she questioned the reasoning for their choice, wondering if perhaps something calmer such as the frog choir may have been a better thing to occupy their free time. "The nerve of some of these, can you believe it? I was worried half of them would drop their wand at a duels mere mention."
Bellatrix had always been one to push things further than most, had always made sure to perfect her dueling skills. It wasn't just the need to be something beyond a daughter from the Black family, no. It was her very own need to proof to the world how lethal and skillful someone, anyone, could be if only they put their mind to it. Well, those deserving of it, anyway.
Her head whipped around, glancing toward the corner where she'd last noticed movement, the one person she'd spoken to just a moment ago. Everyone else had left. "It's such a blessing to have someone smart around. You're sticking with the team as well?" Bellatrix held out the list for her cousin to look over, proceeding to ignore her very own question.
