That’s My Couch!
TV Review – That’s My Couch! (ZAPTV, Fridays at 7/6c)
Episode: “You Can’t Sit With That!” (And Other Upholstery Nightmares)
Welcome back to Noodleburg’s Most Territorial Sitcom, where furniture isn’t just a place to sit—it’s a way of life, a battleground, a soul contract.
This week’s That’s My Couch! was a mid-season emotional roller-sofa. In “You Can’t Sit With That!” we find Trevor (played with caffeinated glee by Sherman Picklebone) defending his sacred floral loveseat from invaders both foreign and fuzzy. Yes, the rumors were true: a raccoon has joined the cast. He’s called “Todd.” He’s method. He refuses to blink.
Trevor’s iconic catchphrase “EXTREME SNACK ATTACK” (also his shirt, his mantra, and possibly his blood type) takes on new meaning when a bag of neon puff snacks is used as currency to bribe Todd off the cushions. Meanwhile, background sibling Kaitlin (credited only as “The Orb Holder”) experiments with summoning spirits using a lava lamp and the Game of Life.
We also learn important Noodleburg wisdom:
Bean dip will never come out of velour.
Possessive pronouns are the backbone of comedy.
The couch does have feelings, and it’s tired of being farted on.
Will Trevor ever reclaim his couch? Will Todd ever leave? Will Kaitlin achieve full orb activation? Tune in next week for “The Ottoman Ultimatum” to find out.
RATING: 4 out of 5 cushion crumbs.
Half a star deducted for the unresolved mystery of the green parrot that judges everyone silently from the windowsill.
