I actually teared up on the dance floor last night. Not just glisteny eyes but a big bubble of emotion that swelled up on me out of nowhere and made me like "holy f#>€ I'm gonna cry!" I had to put my head down and breathe into it for a second. When you've produced so many shows for so many years, are sober, and at your job in work-mode even when on the dancefloor, that level of emotion just does not happen. It blindsided me. And I loved it. I could retire from promoting right now, close down @apart_music, and be content! Thank you everyone who was apart in any way. Especially my friend Strahil Velchev aka @kink303 who despite all his great success has never stopped trying to make it back to Milwaukee since our first show together 9 years ago. He went through 24 hours straight of crazy travel hell (Austrian Airlines mistake) making it to the venue just as he was supposed to start, flying through set up, and diving straight into a crowd moving performance of KiNK wizardry. All the words can't sum up why it meant so much to have him back... my most crucial event to date. It was incredibly special to have people who were at the first US KiNK show that we did at Three 9 years ago, alongside those who have discovered and fallen in love with him just recently. For me that is the goal, the dream. Cross the barriers, light a fire; the aware appreciation of the experienced, and the new energy of the young and hungry, meeting on the dance floor, creating with the dj, inspiring the room. Good music is ageless, genderless, crosses race, religion and politics. We just need to make the effort to find it, open up and enjoy... Well done Milwaukee, you've come a long way baby - do not stop dancing! As I said I feel like I could retire, but equally like perhaps we've only just begun..
