Foodphobic? Foodphobic.

I need to admit something. Mostly to myself. But I might as well get it out there anyway in case there are more people like me...

I did not become a vegetarian because I don't like meat or I'm against meat or whatever other noble causes there are to become a vegetarian.

I'm scared of meat. Other than beef which I just can't eat because I don't have the enzyme in my stomach to digest it. Well, I guess it really boils down to my trust issues with other people preparing any kind of meat I want. People are gross. And stupid. And I don't trust anyone other than myself to prepare protein that I'm going to ingest. At least if I make myself sick it would be my own fault...of course this stems from my long-time battle with emetophobia.

Either way, I'm probably better off being a vegetarian most of the time (I do still eat chicken and fish occasionally. Yeah, I know...I'm a risk-taker.) It just sucks being afraid of my favorite foods like...sushi or chicken parm or roasted lamb or lox...

I know I can get sick from a lot more but meat scares me the most... Waaaaaaa I'm a wuss waaaaaaa.
