"Not the time." Michael grumbled but it did little to get Sitri off of him. The archangel frowned, going to shove him before those slender arms wrapped around his neck, Gabriel's face giving him a pout.
"You always say that!" Those fluffy white wings puffed up in irritation, blue eyes staring with such intensity even the leader of the archangels had to avert his gaze. He let the documents in his hands fall on the round table, sighing as he allowed the younger angel to snuggle up against him.
Soft... Despite all the similarities, the same face, the same inherited powers... Sitri was different from Gabriel in a number of ways. His softness was definitely one of them. Even with her blade in his arms, Sitri always felt soft to Michael. He wasn't sure if it was any one specific thing that made him seem that way, or a combination of many different factors. Sitri's scent was like lilies, like Gabriel's, but sweeter. His eyes carried a certain innocence and a pure desire to be loved. Maybe that was what drew him to the boy in the first place.
Now those very eyes met his once again, Sitri's cute face tilting adorably to the side like it always did when he had a question. He didn't voice it, but Michael could about guess what he was thinking anyway. "Nothing. I was just thinking you're too soft."
It wasn't entirely a lie; he just purposely phrased it in a way that wasn't the most flattering. Whether it was to see Sitri's face scrunch up in a lightly offended grimace or to watch the irritated way his wings twitched was anyone's guess. Michael chuckled, folding his arms around the angel in his lap, not allowing him to get up to leave.
"You're always such a bully..." Sitri whined, but he settled his head on Michael's shoulder, closing his eyes. Warm. Soft, sweet, and warm. That was Sitri. He was comforting and, in a way, Michael wanted to comfort him back. He wasn't great at it, but perhaps the one silver lining in Sitri's situation prior to coming home was that he could be very forgiving when Michael's displays of affection were less than stellar.
The archangel pressed his lips to Sitri's forehead, drawing a happy purr from him. "Alright, I apologize." He finally allowed himself to properly relax as well. The paperwork could wait a little bit. "I'll make sure to set some time aside for you in my schedule."
"You better." Sitri's voice was already fading. It was sort of impressive how quickly he could fall asleep. Not that Michael minded it of course. "If you don't... I'll have to bother you like this... again..."
"Sure." Michael would laugh if that didn't risk stirring Sitri from his drowsiness. "Because you're always such a bother."
I can't be the only one who's madly in love with Sytry. From the second I saw him I knew he was my next cosplay project. I've already ordered the wig! I'm dying to learn his tragic backstory...he's a fallen angel, it's gotta be tragic. I don't know if I can wait for the anime to get to it, might have to start reading the manga soon~
