I've seen a lot about pomskies and how you shouldn't have one and I'm just curious as to why? Im not trying to start an argument I'm just curious, I don't know that much about dogs.

Alright so here’s the thing. I’m not going to say don’t breed dogs etc because without someone breeding dogs and everyone spaying eventually we wouldn’t have dogs. What needs to be done is more education and responsible dog breeding. when it comes to mixing breeds that have been bred to be a certain way and act a certain way for a very long time you may be doing more harm than good. Even the guy that bred labradoodles regrets it now. With a poodle you can trim their fur when it gets matted, with a lab you can just brush it out. With a labradoodle you just get a tangled matted mess. That is just part of the problem. When someone breeds designer dogs, yorkiepoo cockapoo goldendoodle pomskies etc they sell them at high prices like they’re some rare thing. They’ve been designed to be cute and they suck you in with that cuteness getting you to pay over a thousand dollars when you could either adopt a dog for much cheaper or find a reputable dog breeder who sells their puppies at a reasonable price because they’re not in it for the money. You’ll never see a husky breeder selling dogs for more just because they have blue eyes or because they’re smaller or larger. Pomsky breeders are notorious for selling smaller pups or pups with blue eyes at a higher price because omg so rare so pretty so petite so cute. this is straight from the q/a of the pomsky club of americas website. “How much do your pomskies cost?This really depends on the size and quality of a pomsky. A pomsky with blue eyes and husky markings will typically be in the 3000 dollar range since this is what everyone wants. If the puppies have wooly coats or are very small and the pups are expected to be smaller they can be more. If you come across someone selling pomskies for much less than 2000 it is likely a scam. There are a lot of people selling huskies and other mixes as pomskies which is why we demand dna proof that our breeders are producing true pomskies before we even allow them to join the PCA.”They’re also breeding a dog with a genetically larger structure with a smaller dog. This can and will cause issues later on down the line. I don’t see anything on any of these pomsky breeder websites about them testing their dogs for any eye or hip issues (because it costs money to do so) so they’re just breeding dogs willy nilly. They don’t know if any of these pups is more prone to going blind or having their hips break down on them at an age thats far too young. A couple of these pomsky breeders say that they’re one of the few approved breeders by the pomsky club of america which was a group created specifically just to make it seem like these dogs were worth more and that they’re ‘healthy’. In the end if you support these backyard breeders you’re paying into them continuing to breed these dogs together in a way that isn’t even well thought out. They’re all trying to trick people into buying these ‘forever puppies’ when they could very well grow into 40 pound dogs that no one was expecting when they bought a ‘forever puppy’.  Long story short: don’t buy a pomsky
