Part of what I think people are missing when they miss the beauty of Faner Hall (and of much brutalist architecture) is its relationship to natural elements. The flowering dogwood itself makes for a pleasant view, but the contrast between delicate petals and stark concrete angles makes it all the more striking. #brutalism #treestagram #southernillinois #siuspring
