Story: Amrutham(Srinivas) and Anjaneyulu(Harish) run a small time hotel and earn very less. One day they become rich and expand their business to 2000crores. They want to do something different so the try to expand their business on Moon also. So they get prepared for a journey to moon what happens after that? Did they succeed in their plan forms the story?
Performances: Srinivas Avasarala has done a fine job as Amrutham and he perfectly suited to the role. Harish is a good replacement to Gundu Hanumantha Rao (Anjaneyulu character of the serial). Sivanarayana and Vasu are good in their roles. Dhanya is okay. Rao Ramesh, Krishna Bagwan, LB Sriram, Ahuthi Prasad have done decent job. Art work is fine. The cinematography is good. Music by Sree is good. The screenplay is okay could have been tight. The dialogues and direction is good.
Analysis: The famous TV serial AMRUTHAM series which was a huge hit was made as a feature film by Gunnam gangaraju. The same characters Amrutham, Anjaneyulu, Sarvam exist in this one also. Their typical behavior evoked humour in many places.
Srinivas Avasarala fitted perfectly to the role, his body language, expressions and dialogue delivery is near to perfect. Harish also supported well in the role of Anjaneyulu. Dhanya is okay as wife of Amrutham. Ahuthi Prasad is okay (the phrases written on his bag are funny), LB Sriram, Rao Ramesh evoked some laughs in the second half. The remaining artists have done decent job. The story has no logic, head or tail but the behavior of the characters is what keeps you glue to the seats. If you are a regular follower of the Amrutham series you can enjoy to the core.
The technical departments impress you more. Art work by Murthy is good. The cinematography along with the VFX team should be commended for getting a good output. The Moon sequences looked rich with good graphics work. Music by SREE is okay. He reused the hit song from LITTLE SOLDIERS film. The “Yeru vaaka” and “Yaaru kaaga” are entertaining. The background score is good. The story is weak; to be frank there is no story which suits to regular movie format. It appears like a few serial episodes were edited together to make a feature film. The Editing could have been better as most of the comedy episodes were kept dragging on and on.
The movie can be enjoyed in episodes (in bits and pieces), the comedy punches were good. And some light hearted comedy worked well. If you like simple and clean comedy you get connected easily. The movie appeals only to Multiplex Audience others can’t bear the TV serial type of slow narration which irritates. The First half is okay but the initial part of the second half is boring; team when they lose everything and come on to the roads the episode is dragged to the core which bored very much, the Moon episode started off well but in the middle cow episode, marriage episode in the climax were not up to the mark. The screenplay is not grippy, a feature film needs a tight narration and this film lacks that. The Direction is good in few places.
Can watch it once for it’s clean comedy.
