Sivill House has been finally listed TODAY! 💥 Many thanks goes to Mark Sullivan, who spearheaded the campaign against the insensitive refurbishment and managed to stop it at the last minute. The listing will provide the protection needed in the future. ⁠ ⁠ The process was aided by C20 Society and Historic England 👏⁠ ⁠ Celebrate with 15% of all prints — use code 'lubetkin' at the checkout (valid till next Sunday 14 June).

It's Berthold Lubetkin's birthday today! A life-long communist, he believed "nothing is too good for ordinary people" and designed buildings it the same spirit. Between the wars he paradoxically built for the well-off, only after the war he finally got chance to built for the ordinary folk. Shown Spa Green Estate, Hallfied Estate and Sivill House.
