I am seriously pissed. A white man winning rights over a lifetime of a woman's work (even worse a WoC) in a field dominated by men. The judge who ruled this is a major *sshole. This is so typical.
Even if Schumacher played a big role in building her ideas (whole teams are behind starchitects' projects), he's now gonna milk her legacy without crediting her.
I believe Zaha died of a heart attack also due to overworking all her life. She even once said "I will never give myself the luxury of thinking, 'I've made it.'" And have in mind PoC normally have to work multiple times more than a white person to get where they do. This is beyond unfair, and it's even more unfair because Zaha's legacy and person is a hero to all women, even more to Iraqi, Middle Eastern, and WoC.
Zaha Hadid Architects principal Patrik Schumacher has won a legal battle with the Zaha Hadid Foundation over the use of Zaha Hadid's name.
