Should give this SEGA Mega Drive / Genesis video another plug as it's very useful for new owner and even long time ones. It details all the game we knew about that don't support the trademark bios screen screen of the later Mega Drive consoles. Very early model one Mega Drives didn't include it.
However, all later units did and it showed a screen saying produced or under license from SEGA. It was designed to block unofficial cartridges from working on the system, but ended up preventing a couple of title of official types from loading. There is a way around it however.
This video also cover some of the many titles that didn't work with the six button controller as well!
