Tried Six Sicks during my lunch break! XD;; (Was going to try to rank for that 4 star Hideyoshi card in Senbura but ranking wars are just too hard… T^T My rank was fine all along then in that last hour… orz…)
Anyway, Six Sicks is a completely free & voiced otome PC & mobile browser game. It’s hosted on Nico Nico Douga, so you need an account to play. HERE is the official site for the game. There’s a button marked in English ‘Let’s play Six Sicks!’ Click on that to play!
So you’re a rookie sports reporter and you’ve been sent to interview a famous female powerboat racer but… being the clueless newbie you are, you end up in the wrong place and go to where the male competitors are racing. The racers are not at all happy to have you there as they think you’re a nuisance… ^^;; You even mistaken one of them for the female racer you were supposed to interview. Way to go, MC!
Anyway, there’s a sort of gacha where you get racers and you can level up their skills in various areas by having them hang out with other racers. Then you can race your racers! XD;; You can’t control them though. However, according to the tutorial you need to press a button if their skill is triggered.
You need ‘passes’ you play the gacha and level up your boys. You can get them from the mini-game where you are asked to spot 2 specific chibis in a series of photos. You are shown which two to look out for at the start.
Then there are of course the main stories and side stories that you unlock by increasing your player level and the affection levels of your boys. Pretty standard stuff.
I was sort of interested in Korekiyo at first (coz purple…) but his abrasive personality isn’t really my type. Then princely Seiichi appeared (who is apparently quite emotional and prone to crying manly tears?? XD)~! Anyway, he’s now my main boy~ :3c
So Six Sicks will be released on 22 November and it's supposed to be ‘completely free’!
There's nothing much on what the game system is like though. This QooApp article says the premise is that you're a reporter for a sports magazine who has been sent to interview the members of a rowing team, and you strengthen your ‘bond’ with these boys thru interviewing them.
Not sure if I'll play it. Kind of reached my limit for number of games I can handle at the same time... ^^;; Still haven't been able to find time to start Starevo! And still waiting for Otome Yusha and Library Cross.
