Yeah like. SIX grew on me for sure, but also I very am like joking not joking *takes a break from feminism 2 enjoy this show*. Corset slander, girlbossified nothing-like-what-we-know-of-the-historical and kinda-disturbingly-Henry-like Anne of Cleves, every one is kind of one archetype but it does sort of come at the cost of some of the others (like, Anne Boleyn was not dumb in that like dumb blonde way lmao, but I choose to believe Andrea's version who inserts a note of Marilyn-esque irony to her protrayal), I close my eyes do not see. (also funny that they singled out Catherine of Valois when Elizabeth of York is also a Very Significant Figure in Tudor history/history of that era, but again like, for the purpose of what they're trying to achieve in the show I get it. But like even Margaret of Anjou is a not-insignificant figure of that era lmao but again.. I get it. but um hashtag fake history fans)

It uses to haunt me slightly to think that ppl were thinking this show is a history lesson, but now I let that wash away from me as well. Like whatever, this can't do as much damage as any other popular conception that already exists of that era ig lmao..

still a romp tho, concert vibes for introverts who don't wanna have to be "on" the whole time. would see again, but like only at rush prices
