Was she going to regret this? Quite possibly. But Danica’s guilt and frustration had been eating at her since yesterday’s dramatic conversation and she needed to clear the air. And, maybe, she was just a little bit curious. She knocked on Huck’s door before she could talk herself out of it, and before he could speak, she raised a hand. “Just hear me out,” she said. “About yesterday...the truth is, I was scared. And I didn’t want to cross any lines either. And in the process of doing so, I was kind of an ass. So I wanted to apologize for that.”

Dakota thought the town in general was lovely during this time of the year. Sure there were the cranky people who hated the holidays (and honestly Dakota wasn't really a fan since she had spent the last few years by herself during Christmas and New Years Eve) but the hotel itself had really brightened her spirits. Seeing Howie making his way up to her, she smiled brightly. "Hey!" Then she looked up and she found herself blushing. She'd forgotten that this season brought about mistletoe everywhere. She thought it was sweet that he went for the cheek when he could have gotten away with kissing her on the lips. "Yeah, definitely. I just have to put these bags up in my room. I finally found something for you for Christmas."

"Why are you asking me? I'm not an electrician you know," Joey said as she moved to go grab candles, starting to light them so they had some light. "You know, I have tons of money and people might think I'm the diva who has to have all these expensive luxuries but next time someone tells me that I'm going to point them in your direction Huck," she rolled her eyes and plopped back down. "There's new toothbrushes in the cabinet and you can sleep in your clothes. We can play a game or something. I don't know." When the question about Lucky came about, her mood immediately soured and she scooted as far away from him as she could. Of course, he'd be interested in where her brother was. "Probably at the studios fucking Lia's brains out or getting high. Or both knowing him. Feel free to go out there and find your way there since you’re so interested.”

Wendy sighed, but she knew how important finishing this up while he had the muse was so she let him go, just sitting down next to him and patiently waiting. “Fine, but if you even try to start another chapter after this one I’m taking your laptop away, Cal, and don’t think that I won’t. You need to sleep. Tomorrow is Lucy’s recital and you’ve also been working on this for more than fourteen hours. Your brain needs a rest. I intend on making sure that it does.”

Adam knocked on the door as he shifted his weight on his heel.
