summary: junah and the maknae line + joon go on a trip before their enlistment, jungkook admits to tae that he likes junah, junah tells joon a secret

once jungkook had wrapped up promotions for seven, the members were completely free till their enlistment days. for a three-day weekend in late november, namjoon, jimin, taehyung, jungkook, and junah embarked on a relaxing trip to an airbnb in gangwon-do.

the five drove over in jimin's car and after a game of rock, paper, scissors, tae was in the passenger seat while junah was situated in-between joon and jk in the back.

the trip started with karaoke and for the second leg, the three in the back fell asleep as jimin and taehyung manned the steering wheel and aux.

the group arrived at their gangwon-do guest house around sunset and immediately started to prepare dinner. junah cut the fruits, jungkook grilled meat outside, tae made the stews, and joon set up the table. jimin had been excused to go wash up and relax for having driven the whole time.

the group enjoyed dinner and talked about fond memories, their lives outside of work, and their anxiety about the military. the five were downing so-maek after so-maek, and other than for joon, none of the guys were really worried about junah.

junah had taken off the blanket that joon put on her by the third drink, due to the heat in the room. the other guys were also pretty tipsy and the mood was up. jungkook and jimin were singing a song on the karaoke machine as junah played the tambourine and tae and joon watched the three perform.

around 2am, long after junah had taken a rest from tambourine duties, jimin announced that he wanted to go to bed. the three-bedroom house was split up into jungkook/taehyung, joon/jimin, and junah.

jimin quickly cleaned up his mess and took himself to bed. jungkook and taehyung wanted to stay up longer to watch a movie whereas joon was inclined to join jimin.

"lets go to bed," joon carefully shook junah from her long second of resting her eyes.

junah begrudgingly complied and accompanied joon to the bathroom to wash up. rather than immediately going off to their respective bedrooms, joon took a minute to get junah water and allow her to breathe through her intoxicated state.

"wanna know a secret jyoonee~" junah slurred out.

"not particularly with you in this state."

"its actually two secrets. both i found out today."

there was silence. joon didn't want junah to say something she wasn't supposed to say, but more importantly because he knew she would not remember telling him whatever it was the next morning.

junah waved him closer to her, resulting in joon taking a seat next to her at the top of the staircase.

junah inconspicuously covered her mouth and snuck over to joon's left ear.

"i'm leaving korea after you guys enlist, and working remotely from LA for a while."

joon moved away from junah and looked at her to make sure she was serious. he couldn't read her face, primarily due to her closed eyes and dumb grin due to those so-maeks.

"come back! and also... i'm... gonna miss you guys when i'm gone."

junah let out a fake wail and curled up into her arms, seeking an escape from the bright overhead lights.

joon helped junah up and walked to her bedroom for the night.

"stop! you can only come till here. no boys in my room.!"

joon chuckled and placed the cup of water into junah's hand.

"well then, sleep tight diva. don't let me find you back downstairs with the other kiddos."

with an animated head bob, junah gave joon a big thumbs up and sprayed her arms out.

joon gave into the hug but was trapped by junah locking her arms around him and jumping on.

"thanks joon, always. my second secret was actually that... i think, i mean i don't know, but i might like you."

junah laid a small kiss on his cheek, jumped off, locked the door, and ran to bed.

joon was still outside. he knew she definitely wouldn't remember all this tomorrow. he knew that he couldn't speak to her about this at all. but, he also knew that junah would be going back to the us after their enlistment long before tonight. he also knew that she thinks or might like him long before tonight.

he didn't know how to tell her that she had told him about the possibility of her going back to the us last month, and the possibility of her liking him two months ago. junah when she drank too much was definitely a big concern to joon.

he also didn't know how to tell junah that he was secretly dating someone she knew of.

about an hour into the movie, both of the boys were distracted by their phones. taehyung was scrolling through all the reels that jungkook had sent him in the past twenty-four hours as jungkook caught up on social media posts.

"earth to jungkook."

jungkook turned to find taehyung laughing at him, confused about what the issue was.

"how long are you gonna stare at junah's post."

jungkook had stopped scrolling a while ago, upon seeing junah's latest post on his feed. it was a photo of her from a photobooth.

"i don't know. i guess i spaced out."

"yeah, into junah's eyes maybe."

"what do you mean?"

taehyung scoffed and rolled his eyes. the alcohol also made him more ballsy.

"you're in love with junah."

"what are you talking about? we're just friends." jungkook feigned ignorance but taehyung had already talked about this topic extensively with almost everyone but the two of them.

"how long are you going to keep telling yourself that. we don't know who's worse. you, who won't admit it, or junie, who can't sense it."

"'we'? who else thinks i like her?"

"umm... everyone but you and junie?"

"oh. i thought it wasn't that obvious."

"why else would you get mad about not being invited to a weekend trip to busan? or be hypersensitive of who talks to junie, including us?"

"i don't know. i don't think she's interested in a relationship right now, but i can't just, not be bothered by her."

taehyung could somewhat understand how jungkook felt, and that junie definitely wasn't looking for anything.

the next morning, everyone but one person woke up with memories of the night before.

"ugh. i don't know how you all drink so much."

junie walked up to jimin who was making breakfast in the kitchen.

"i think you just need to stop drinking with jungkook and tae. you know they're crazy."

eventually, the rest of the group joined the two in the kitchen and set up the table.

after a while of swimming in the river nearby, they were all sunbathing on the grass. that was when junah broke the news.

"i'm gonna tell the other guys over a phone call tonight."

"why are you leaving? just because we're enlisting doesn't mean that we can't see you completely. after training, we can mee-"

"jungkook, calm down. it's her choice." of course, joon was the voice of reason in this.

jimin and taehyung were letting jungkook display their frustration and joon display their understanding.

"i'm going to be there with somi in new york for the first month while she works, and then i'll probably see my brother for a bit and figure out whether i want to stay in la or return to new york."

jungkook remained silent for a while after that.

jimin and junah talked about her plans once she returned to seoul. she wouldn't be able to see the guys off to the enlistment site due to security issues, so she was flying out to new york on the same day.

junah was still working as a producer remotely. she didn't have a lot of songs she was actively working on at the moment, but she would be producing in the us and sending over stuff. she would also be using the time to return to producing for some old friends. as for modelling, she had offers in america that she was contemplating upon.

regardless, junah would be busy while the guys were enlisted.

on the ride back home from the mini vacation, joon quickly fell asleep as jimin and taehyung talked about some high school friend in the front.

jungkook hadn't said much the rest of the day that junah broke the news and this morning before they drove off.

junah poked at jungkook who was looking out the window.

"are you mad, kook? i'm sorry."

"just a little."

"keep talking. why are you mad? you guys wouldn't have used your precious vacations days on me and i didn't want to be so alone."

"don't assume how i would have used my vacation days. and you could've hung out with your friends on the days we weren't here. you have rosy and yunjin and eunchae."

"first of all, yunjin and eunchae are in full comeback preparation mode and have very little time for me. and rosy is in japan for the next two months for a drama shoot. and anyways, i'm going back to the us for the first time in a long time. its basically a mini-break."

"you could just go and come ba-" jungkook paused. he had just been read by taehyung for being hyper-sensitive about junah. he understood that junah had the right to do what she wanted, but his emotions wouldn't let him submit to it. "-you're right. i'm sorry. we'll still chat and you can come back once in a while if you time it with my vacation days.

I love daemon AUs of all kinds but i think this is one of the few where the daemons aren't just a fun addition, they're integral parts of plot and character dynamics that add depth and complexity to an already fraught relationship. This is part of a series of MDZS daemon fics and there's a sequel in the same continuity, but I'm not sure if they all will be.

Speaking of amazing character dynamics, sixthmoon has a few OG SQH fics that boil my brain in a wonderful way. it's surprisingly sweet for the amount of viciousness OG SQH is packing in that devious brain. It's an ongoing series but each oneshot is wonderful on its own. The latest installment has a confrontation with OG Luo Binghe (Bingge?) that's just *chef's kiss* for the sheer amount of interpersonal dysfunction.

pride is not the word I'm looking for by Tossawary - completed longfic (400K DUDE IT'S LONG), SVSSS, M

Shang Qinghua goes to take a self-indulgent peek at his baby protagonist son and gets a kick to the shrivelled heart for his troubles. He gave up on changing the story years ago! Yet he finds himself helping his protagonist son's adoptive mother anyway. Just this one change won't matter too much, right?

One little change leads to more. Shang Qinghua never meant to care, but he becomes invested in making sure that his new family survives the looming plot. With the changes to the world cascading around him, with his position as a traitor pulling him between his sect and a certain ice demon, and with the protagonist growing up so quickly, how is one displaced author meant to ensure that everything turns out all right?

I would have to break this fic into chunks to actually comment on a fraction of what I love about it, but a few of my top favorite things:

Absolutely delicious character development of the type you only get in longfic. There are time skips, but given this starts pre-canon and runs up to just after the Immortal Alliance Conference, we get a look at a SQH who actually feels like he's growing into his years. There's an age to him that's refreshing amongst the "eternally 20" vibes in a lot of fic. There are seasons of family dynamics and odd friendships that grow across years, really allowing time to dig into difficult characters and let them develop in a natural time frame.

Incredible description absolutely peaking in combat and a series of dungeons where poor SQH has to go fetch miracle cures and things. There's a chapter that introduces multiple powerful demons and the DESCRIPTIONS. IT WAS CINEMATIC. i could picture it SO CLEARLY and it gave me CHILLS before they even did anything. The dungeons are described in such luscious detail that it feels like stepping into some really cool videogame locations. If I could do art i would do an art series for these dungeons and then plaster them all over my walls.

It's cute. like that doesn't sound like a big thing but SQH building (or being built into lol) a family that keeps growing and loving is the glue that holds all the intrigue and drama together. The amount of found family warm fuzzies (sometimes with some gentle angst to make it even better) cannot be overstated. People like each other and encourage people to be the best versions of themselves here.

I know it's intimidatingly long, but at the end of every arc (ranges from about 60k at the beginning to 100k at the end) Tossawary wraps up the most immediate plot points and makes a note that it's a good place to stop and rest. They also warn for cliffhangers, so if you want to treat this like a series it's easy to break up the reading experience.

after having coffee at a random cafe in the upper east side, the two wandered around central park for two hours while talking about music, art, and life

summary: learn about what happened between summer 2020-spring 2021, the inspiration behind junah's debut ep "the sun has set" | (imagine a no covid world :/)

in her first few months at hybe, junah had only interacted with the bts members, production team, and yunjin, a korean-american trainee. for the sake of her privacy and safety, she refrained from going out. whenever she wasn't working, she was at home or at one of the bts member's houses, hanging out.

one day when jungkook and junah were playing video games at his place, jungkook's acquaintance invited him out to a small get-together at a private bar. after getting permission, jungkook took junah to the event- an actor friend's soft opening for his new pub. the guest list included only celebrities who were sensible enough to not post revealing pictures and videos on the internet.

when his friends approached him and junah, jungkook introduced her as a friend rather than a producer. with the amount of people that adored or wanted to meet jungkook, she let him mingle as she sat at an empty table in the back, sipping on beer. he would look back and check on her every few minutes, finding her in the same spot, smiling back in assurance at him.

at its peak around 11pm, she tapped jungkook on the shoulder and told him that she was heading to the balcony for fresh air.

junah first freshened up in the bathroom, and then retreated to the balcony. two and a half cans of beer in, the fresh air hit her flushed cheeks and the cardigan had to come off. she sat down at the bench and laid her knit on the armrest.

"mind if i join you?" a voice came from behind her and she half-consciously gave them a “mmhm”.

a tall dark shadow covered her and took the seat next to her. junah turned to face the stranger, meeting eyes with a sculptured korean god.

"are you a model?" she asked, a question she would not have felt comfortable asking to a stranger if she was sober.

"well i was, but i also act now." he responded. "and you are...?"

"oh- i... i do music." junah responded smartly, remembering that she still had to maintain her secret of being a hybe producer.

"what songs do you have? i may know some" he inquired.

"no, i don't have songs out.. i'm still in the proc..." junah wasn't sure how to explain without giving out too much information.

"i saw you come in with jungkook, are you a trainee at hybe possibly?"

"yeah! that's it, i'm training at hybe and that's why jungkook brought me." she managed, hopefully convincingly enough.

the two continued talking, about all sorts of activities. for all his questions about her training, she was able to doctor her answers where she wasn't completely lying. she did go to the company five times a week. she was recording a lot of songs and practicing her skills. she was newly signed under the company.

in their conversation, she learned that his name was byeon wooseok, and he had been slowly rising in popularity as an actor. they both liked jazz music and cheese. she was a cat person whereas he was a dog person. they both coincidentally lived in the same apartment complex. as the conversation and night went on, junah was sobering up and falling more under the spell of wooseok.

by the time people started to leave, wooseok offered to drive both jungkook and junah home so that they wouldn't have to call jungkook's manager this late at night. junah sat in the backseat, not wanting jungkook to get suspicious and start poking fun at her for talking to a guy. it turned out that wooseok and jungkook were somewhat close, having been to so many of the same events for the past year or so.

when wooseok parked his car in the garage, jungkook excused himself to go pick up something from his car on the lower floor and let the two go to their apartments by themselves. when junah and wooseok entered the same elevator, she pressed floor 9 and wooseok remained still.

"oh, do you also live on the ninth floor?" she asked, wondering why he wasn't doing anything.

"no, i live on the fourteenth floor but could i walk you to your door?" he asked with the kindest, most gentle voice.

their apartment complex was gated and each building had its security, so junah never thought to be worried about her safety. but how could she refuse wooseok, so she smiled and allowed him to do so.

junah entered her passcode and unlocked the door, returning back to her empty apartment. wooseok was still waiting for her to go in before he left but to his luck, she turned around one more time.

"would you like to come inside? i don't have much but i can make a cup of tea." she said, not wanting the first exciting night in a long while to end.

the two hesitantly entered the apartment, in hesitation and full of butterflies.

junah chose to not change out of her cami-skirt combo, and instead just put her cardigan back on. when she came back from the bathroom, she saw wooseok's back in the black button up and jeans sitting at the kitchen bar.

she brewed herbal tea and offered it in a ceramic cup she had made to him, and they drank it in the comfortable silence.

the slow music playing through her record player provided a nice ambiance that loosened her up similarly to the beer from earlier. now that she thought about it, wooseok must have been completely sober. the whole time they had been talking earlier, he only had a bottle of water in his hand. whereas junah had been uncharacteristically blabbering while sipping on her beer. she hoped he couldn't tell that she was a lightweight.

once the bottom of their cups could be seen, she put them away in the sink and walked out from behind the kitchen counter. she wasn't sure if she was supposed to tell him she was sleepy and that he should head home or to find an excuse for him to stay longer. before she could make a decision, wooseok closed the remaining gap between the two and grabbed her by her waist.

"could i kiss you, junah?" he whispered, already halfway there with one hand resting at her nape.

junah was stuck, not confident enough of the voice that would come out and instead gave a slight nod and reached her mouth up.

wooseok took the permission and closed the gap, locking his lips on hers and leaning against her on the counter. the two, hungry, moved around the room and found the sofa in the middle of the room.

junah found herself under him and his hands traveled to her shoulders, slowly shedding junah of her cami top. he broke the kiss for a second to take off his own button up and to admire his view of junah under him. she laid like an angel, with her hair slightly disheveled but still in beautiful curls, her cami pooled around her hips, her hands shyly resting on her breasts in an attempt for modesty, her cheeks flushed, and her beautiful, beautiful swollen lips from his doing.

wooseok grabbed her hands and removed them from their current location, wanting to see a full view of junah.

"you're so beautiful," he said, and then went back to put his lips on hers, not allowing her to respond. his hands perfectly fell on her breasts and caressed them. junah was letting out small moans and strained breaths, having not been intimate with a man in a while.

feeling useless as wooseok was doing all the work, junah moved her hands down to his pants as he continued fondling her breasts. she tried her best to touch him, hopefully giving him as much pleasure as he was giving her. having had enough of making out, wooseok moved down and put his mouth to work on her breasts. the emptiness on junah's lips from wooseok's was instead replaced by his fingers, inserting deep in for tears to pool in her eyes.

he bit on a nipple and simultaneously tightened his grip on her neck, forcing a loud scream from her mouth. he then moved his hands to her waist, unbuttoning her denim skirt. right as wooseok was moving down, a knock came at the door.

the two froze, and waited to see if they had both heard wrong.

again, a few knocks came followed by "junah?".

"i think it's jungkook," she told wooseok, not sure of what to do.

"why's he coming here this late at night?"

"i don't know, should i open?" she asked wooseok.

"no. you can just say you fell asleep." he responded, which made sense to junah. she definitely did not look appropriate enough to face him. and if he wanted to come in, she didn't have a reason for why wooseok was in her apartment.

the two ignored and wooseok went back to work, and junah did her best to silence herself by holding her mouth closed as he drove her insane.

after a long night, the two woke up on a saturday morning and refueled with smoothies and a sandwich. still completely infatuated with each other, the two resumed with their activities after eating breakfast and spent much of that weekend completely entangled in junah's apartment.

monday morning, junah had a recording session with jungkook and taehyung for a song they had been working on. jungkook joined the other two late, and immediately entered interrogation mode as he sang his parts.

"so how did you end up talking to wooseok hyung at the party? why didn't you open the door for me friday night? did you fall asleep that fast? how much did you drink? what did you do this weekend? why didn't you call me on saturday? what if i had died in the parking lot?"

taehyung groaned at jungkook's pestering and junah remained mostly silent in fear of accidentally saying something wrong. by the end of the recording session, junah had managed to satisfy jungkook with slightly vague answers.

for the following weeks, junah's days were occupied. the boys left on a japan stadium tour that would last three weeks and all she had to do at work was finish mixing and mastering fly to my room, a track that would be released on the last day of their stadium tour.

when she was home at night or on the weekends, she waited on texts from wooseok. on their third or fourth meetup, he had suggested sharing locations and doorcodes so that both of them didn't have to annoy each other everytime they wanted to see if the other was home. of course, they would contact each other before coming over at all.

around 10 or 11pm, he would arrive at her door with a few minutes' notice. every so often, he had shoots far away and the two instead spent hours talking as his manager drove him back home. regardless, junah's night were busy.

she came into the studio much more tired, but with so much more feelings and thoughts to translate into lyrics. to make up for the lack of sleep and alone time, she had to cancel a few plans with the hybe family here and there. since junah was outputting a tremendous amount of songs, many assumed she was just busy with work, not realizing the presence of a new man in her life.

junah could have definitely told her friends about wooseok. sure she had worries about his blossoming career and the effects of a love scandal on it, but everyone around her was already keeping her big secret. but then, she still hadn't told wooseok that she wasn't a trainee, so she wanted to wait till that was dealt with.

inbetween june 2019 and january 2020, junah and wooseok spend atleast two full days a week with each other, and countless nights. his shooting schedules and her work schedule were both pretty stable. towards the end of his drama shooting, wooseok invited junah along on a trip to paris. he was flying over for work as a global ambassador for ralph lauren, but had two days of freedom after a public appearance.

junah flew over a day after him, with his assistant manager and spend the first day traveling alone around the city of love. the next two days, they spent it as usual, entangled in each other. around nighttime, they stepped out and went on their first public date, not wearing sunglasses, or a face covering. junah finally could dress up for him and wooseok could finally see his girl be free.

the two roamed the foreign city with a bottle of wine and riddled the streets with laughter and each other with kisses. junah had never been happier. all her life, she had written about the concept of love and all the joys that she heard it brought, but never imagined that it was truly this blissful.

when she came back to south korea and returned to work that week, there her persistent friend was. junah had posted a few photos of herself in paris on her private instagram and turned off the comments on it.

now he had found her in person and once again interrogated. not being able to hold it back any longer, junah reasoned with herself that it was fine to reveal some of it now.

"i..have been meeting a guy for a little while. and he invited me to paris this past weekend." she hesitantly said.

the two were alone in her studio as usual. jungkook stood up in disbelief and waves of emotions passed through his face. when the news finally settled, he smiled at her.

"are you happy?" he asked, so innocently with a soft smile.

junah lit up at the chance to finally have someone to talk to about wooseok.

jungkook noticed her spike in emotion and believed it when she assured him that she was very satisfied by him. but as she revealed more details, junah sensed his uneasiness.

"you guys flew to paris for the weekend and see each other almost every day or night, but he hasn't officially asked you out yet?" he clarified.

junah tried to defend wooseok. wooseok was a celebrity so he felt hesitant about defining a relationship. even if they never clarified the boyfriend and girlfriend title, junah was satisfied with how he expressed his trust in her through his actions and constant presence. or that was how she had been justifying it in her head for the past few months.

jungkook realized that he had questioned an insecurity in the relationship that junah was well aware of, so he wasn't sure if he should push it or not. junah was one of his closest friends and he knew how guys were. if this mysterious guy she had been meeting and sleeping with hadn't established what they were, there was no way this was going to end well.

"i need you to tell me who you're seeing." jungkook scorned, to which junah couldn't repeat that she wanted to keep it a secret.

"it's wooseok. byun wooseok? the actor from that party you took me to over the summer." she squeezed out.

"WOOSEOK HYUNG? you have been keeping this from me for the past six months?" he seemed more irritated at the latter part.

jungkook decided that he didn't want to interfere knowing that he was someone that was in the entertainment industry.

"i'm sure you two will figure it out. you're old enough, but i don't feel good about what i've heard of this relationship so far.

the next few days, junah thought about what jungkook said. she thought about it when wooseok came over that night from a photoshoot. she thought about it when they laid in her bed the next night. she thought about it while listening to wooseok talk on the phone as he was driving straight to her from a variety show shoot.

but then in certain moments, those thoughts slipped her mind. what jungkook said was far off her mind when wooseok and junah had stepped out for a walk along the river and in parks for fresh air at 2am. those thoughts disappeared when wooseok surprised her with a large bouquet on christmas day. the thoughts disappeared when he made love to her and made her feel so good.

and in that way, junah was able to justify her relationship and jungkook stopped asking questions. january 8th, his new tv show aired. the show was beloved by korean and international viewers, and wooseok's popularity and instagram following doubled, tripled over night.

junah and wooseok continued to meet up, but wooseok was becoming more busy as new advertisement deals and talk show castings were coming in. before start up even finished airing, news of his casting as the male lead in hometown cha cha cha broke. he would be starring opposite an established beauty of south korea, shin mina.

junah had seen all of the promotional interviews and episodes for start up. the viewers were head over heels for wooseok and the female lead, suzy's, chemisty more than the lead couple. and junah couldn't argue, the love and honey that oozed out of wooseok's eyes when he looked at her made her fall in love with him again every night. and as an amazing actor, he was very talented at exhibiting that in his scenes and interactions with suzy.

the shooting of hometown chachacha took wooseok away to jeju for three months, and while junah flew there for the first few weeks, her life also grew more busy. the boys and the staff were preparing music for next year and junah had assumed a producer role for multiple projects.

after a month and half of not seeing each other, junah and wooseok finally reunited back at her apartment. he came over with flowers and a gift from chanel and versace. junah prepared a homecooked meal and a new lingerie set, and the two lovers were back finally.

by april of 2021, junah and wooseok were a lot different from what they were when they first met in june 2020. wooseok's fame brought stress and engagements and junah was falling back into the state of loneliness for how seperate their lives were. wooseok had to maintain a single bachelor persona for his enormous female fanbase and junah didn't want that. she sometimes wished that they had come out with the truth when they were caught by the paparazzi last month, instead of avoiding the truth.

so naturally, junah and wooseok's story ended. the conversation came up while on a walk along the river. and though junah brought it up, wooseok didn't seem fazed by it. the two still would live in the same apartment and maybe see each other at some events, but they both agreed that not being tied to each other no matter how exciting it could be at times, was the best.

wooseok was going to focus on his career that he had worked so hard for, and junah was going to focus on music and herself, which she needed to do so much.

junah had barely prepared for the first date, so sure that the man could not be as good as yejin had described. junah preferred keeping texting to a minimum before first dates so that the chemistry could be tested the night of.

she wore a simple silk skirt with stockings and boots, and a black cowl neck sweater that showed just the slightest peek of her shoulders.

inyeop picked junah up from her new house, that was furnished only by a single chair, her bed, and her clothes.

like a gentleman, he was waiting by the passenger door as she came down her steps and opened the door for her.

he made reservations at a greek restaurant that had been popular among his coworkers, and the meal had been just perfect for the two.

sparks flew as the pair took an hour to finish their entree. between the occasional slips into korean and laughter, junah was enjoying the night far more than she had expected to.

when the pair were being kicked out due to the restaurant closing, inyeop suggested walking to the beach so that he could sober up from his wine a little more (he just wanted an excuse to be with junah a little longer).

the two sat down on a ledge, junah with inyeop's jacket around her shoulders, and talked about their families, work, and the future.

junah hadn't planned on it, but she ended up telling him her secret about being a producer at hybe and a model. in exchange, inyeop let up one of his secrets that he let dohyun occasionally win games just so that he would be treated to drinks after.

on the walk back to the car, inyeop made a move to hold junah's hand as she trekked through the sand and didn't let go of it till they were back at junah's front door.

within seconds of junah locking the door, inyeop texted her asking for another date

three days later, the two were at a ballet recital that junah mentioned being intrigued by. with less space to talk, the two instead became familiar with each other in silence. the night ended with junah giving inyeop a peck on her skin and letting him know that she enjoyed the date and would like it if the two were alone and able to talk again the next time they went on a date.

that saturday, inyeop had junah over for a dinner and movies at his house. the two talked the whole time as inyeop made dinner. after dinner, the two ate the tiramisu that junah brought and watched the princess bride. junah fell asleep in inyeop's arms and woke up on the couch, in the same position, the next morning.

inyeop left for a week-long business trip to tokyo and the two kept in touch over texts and facetimes. the night after he returned, junah hosted him for a simple meal of chinese takeout. he stayed over that night and the next day, the two went together to jungwoo's birthday party.

of course, yejin and dohyun teased junah and inyeop for being such a couple after only two weeks of meeting, and how they had been so right about the compatibility. jungwoo and jinah were comfortable with inyeop as their uncle due to his friendship with their dad. uncle inyeop and aunt junah were all that came out their mouths the whole day.

in the brief moment that junah was gone with jinah, inyeop had told dohyun about how he felt about junah, to which dohyun was elated.

the next night, the two went to a neighborhood sushi spot where inyeop gifted junah a heart pendant necklace and asked her to officially be his girlfriend. of course, she said yes.
