Measuring progress with clothes.
Next goal: size 22 LA Blues jeans, relaxed cut but not very stretchy.
Beginning photos: 3/5/23
Let's hope it takes less time to get into these than it did for the 24s. 🤞
Measuring progress with clothes
I bought these shorts A LONG time ago without trying them on. When I got home, they were quite a bit too big for me, so I just tossed them in the closet. Some time later, when I tried to wear them, they were TOO SMALL for me, I couldn’t get them on at all. A few weeks ago I tried them again, and I could get them on but only by laying on the bed and sucking it up to zip them, and breathing was a definite issue.
Today I could zip them without laying down, and while sitting in them is a bit uncomfortable, they would be tolerable. You can see they are still pulled pretty tight.
They’re size 22 with some stretchy-give in the denim.
So, here’s a ‘starting point’ for this reboot. This weekend, I’ll look for a pair of jeans or shorts that are just a bit too small and use them as my next goal.
The scale is moving SLOW AF! So, having more ways to measure progress is a must.
NSV Jeans Update.
Well, this is taking much longer than I’d expected, to be honest, but I have finally made some headway on getting into these size 22 jeans. Ugh. That actually is painful to even write, when I had been down into 12/14s not so long ago. :(
Well, nothing I can do about that now but work on getting back there. I could button these today. I might’ve been able to zip them laying down, but then I wouldn’t be able to get up or breathe. LOL! Quite a muffin top going on too, but, okay, trying to be positive -- I could button them today and didn’t even have to use herculean force to do it.
After staying pretty much the same for a while, my weight seems to be finally inching down again. I had gotten into a bad habit of having peanuts for snacks and I was eating too many, so I cut them out the last two weeks completely and, voila, weight moving. I know, shocking. I also hit my goal of 5 workout days last week, so I will endeavor to do that again this week. I’m at 4 already and I have to mow the grass today, so, that should do it. I may also go for a walk.
I’m going to the Strawberry Festival and a concert there with some friends in March, so hopefully I’ll be able to comfortably wear these to that.
