Holy Grail Shoes

My Sevilla Smith shoes arrived yesterday. They are everything I dreamed of, and more. They are the most beautiful shoes I’ve ever laid my eyes and hands on. The make is just stunning. The shape, the silhouette, the colour.

They fit perfectly.

Let me take a moment for those words to sink in: they fit me perfectly.

When you’ve gone twenty-eight years wearing shoes that are always slightly too large for you, and give you blisters, and force your toes to claw into the sole to keep the shoes from slipping off, and no matter how many times people tell you to buy kids’ shoes, you will never be able to find ones that actually suit your style and look like adult shoes, and all you want are GOOD QUALITY LEATHER SHOES - then something like this is truly a gift.

The leather is quite thick and still quite crisp, so I’ve got to break them in a little and let the material mould to my foot.

I’ve already planned to get more shoes!

But... size 34 is no longer listed on her website or her Etsy?! I was on these sites just a couple of days ago, so it really has only been within the past few days that she’s removed size 34 from her menu. I’ve emailed her in the desperate hopes that I can still make an order for size 34, perhaps a custom one. I’d even be happy to pay more.

I’d be so crushed if she doesn’t sell them anymore. I cannot emphasise enough how frustrating it is to think you’ve finally found the one place you can buy shoes that fit you, only to discover they’ll stop stocking your size. :(
