No one told me that Admiral Katrina Cornwell, my current space queen was in this episode of Major Crimes!
Well at least this episode gave me Andrea mentioning Emma.
My ship doesn’t even share the same episodes with each other, but they know each other.
Like everyone else here I’m not at all surprised that Major Crimes is ending.
I owe a lot to this show.
Despite my complaints about Rusty’s storyline, his initial introduction to the show and confrontations with his mother were crucial in me making a decision about my own.
I’ve also met some amazing friends out of this show that have surpassed any expectations I’ve ever had for friendships.
So I guess I’m going to watch next season a little differently than I intended to.

As for MC I have mixed feelings.
Seasons 1-4 (barring the s4 arc episodes) I loved it - wrote meta on it, seeked out spoilers, made gifs, wrote quite a lot of fic, but these days I’m a little lukewarm on the show. I think I became disappointed (like many people here) with the lack of development of Sharon (as an individual) and her relationship with Andy. They have excellent chemistry and there are plenty of ways they could have explored their relationship within the confines of the format, but I feel like the writing got lazy.
I still enjoyed the engagement, the house hunting etc. from s5, but I don’t know, it lacks the same excitement that it once had for me. I’ve also found other shows and pairings that have given me what I want from a pairing like that (Hugh/Penny from Doctor Doctor is a good example, as they have a similar premise to Sharon/Andy).
I also have mixed feelings when it comes to Rusty. His inclusion in the story was important for me on a personal level (for representation) and also helping me figure out my own issues with my mother. That said, the similarities I have with the character also make me very frustrated when he has moments where he is disrespectful or ungrateful concerning Sharon’s love.
There are other issues I have with the writing, but I still think it’s a decent show and I am looking forward to the wedding and seeing Rios again - I’m just not as compelled to watch it as much as I used to be.

I’m not losing Sharon O'Dwyer Raydor doing the quiet voice equivalent of a death glare, just because you can’t use a remote.
I managed to watch at least some of the MC Facebook chat today and there were some interesting things discussed:
- season 6 will premiere in September - we will see Emily Raydor again - there may be a possibility we will see Andy’s son and ex wife - Sharon and Andy will say ‘I love you’ - they will also get married in ep 5 (edited to ep 5, even earlier yay)
