Yeah, I don't really want to mess with an rp AU. The tag is changing to skaiabound, as is the name of the AU.

last february brett and i made a bloodswap with a rustblood equius. he was the heir of time, and kind of a jack of all trades with a lot of esoteric interests like glass blowing and ancient technology, which seemed like a good combination of aradia's interest in archaeology and equius's in robotics. anyway, his quirk was preceded by

(Y) < A clock that, due to its lack of differentiation between an hour hand and a minute hand, actually reads multiple times at once!

he was sweet and idealistic, but nervous and naive to the point of accidental vulgarity... and of course no one had the heart to tell him his clock looked like boobs.

...i just like how we were apparently so good at zahhaks that we made the same joke that hussie made with horuss six months later:

like it would have been one thing if we'd made that joke with any other character, but that we chose it for a slightly altered version of equius-- when hussie blatantly states that that's all horuss is too-- that kind of foresight is wack with poo brain

(the only sad part is that now if we keep that joke it'll be less funny since it'll just be ripping off horuss's quirk. buuuuut we had so much trouble coming up with a plot for our bloodswap (called skaiabound) that it never really went anywhere even though we really really liked all the designs and characterization, so i guess none of it's ever going to get us anything but bragging rights :') )

i guess that kind of mistake is our fault for not actually having legit content out for skaiabound but christ u have no idea how good we are at bloodswaps and fantrolls and shit like that we literally were up all night talking about what parts of each troll's personality/interests/role in canon was intrinsic to them as a person vs the influence of their caste and designed them from there bloodswaps that are just slapping the interests/personality/demeanor/design of one character onto another for shits and giggles are so fucking basic i could scream (i already have screamed) (i am never not screaming about basic bitches)

i feel like i should get in the habit of making posts about good days instead of complaining constantly

yesterday was really nice!! i'd taken a really long nap on tuesday so i woke up at like 7am feeling a lot more okay with being awake than usual, and when i checked tumblr i saw that scri might be up too so i texted em about meeting up since we didn't get to on tuesday and we met at the mall downtown, went to the starbucks in there (i'm really picky about the decor and layouts of various starbucks...es but i like that one quite a bit) and then went to denny's for breakfast. i was already feeling way impulsive about money so we got way more food than usual and it was all super good and as usual we spent ages in there trying really hard to not laugh too loudly at our jokes, most of which are about our various aus and/or complete nonsense ("color math, am i right?")

this got kinda long and it's a really pointless post so i'm gonna put a cut here

then we left denny's and found a table in the mall next to this like, oversized chess set? the pieces were like waist high on us, i guess they were just set out there for people to play, which is pretty cute but yeah

we ended up sitting there for like six hours working on skaiabound, scri's already drawn a TON for it and done a couple of really excellent pesterlogs (i don't know what the plan is for what we'll be posting to get people interested and what we're saving to use in the fanadventure but hopefully you'll get to see some of it soon!), we nailed down everyone's modified quirks (trying to mix what about the character's original quirk was related to their personality/hobbies with what about the quirk they're swapped into the place of is based on sign or caste, ahhh it's so fun and is really good for characterization) and joked about things like how does troll public transit work? do they have any? they apparently have bikes but probably not cars; how far apart do all the trolls live from each other? are there trains? which led us to the idea that trolls have a light rail system for the lowblood cities like where sollux lives that has trains powered by helmsmen just like the spaceships. it's a normal train except in one of the cars there's suddenly a mass of tentacles with a psionic inside it, try to to fall into him.

then i got really antsy about having been in one place for so long so we went over to the campus and i finally got my dang transit sticker, jeez it only took what six weeks ughhh and then we walked to awesomehouse where everyone was either asleep or sad so we invited boyfriend and jared to come with us to the sushi place down the street and that was really fun, again i was hella lax about money so we were real indulgent (inari! tamago! ice cream!!) and boyfriend got a dragon roll that was cooked by.... being set on fire in front of you ahaha and it's too bad it was essentially a tube of rice with like six kinds of fish dumped on top of it because it looked really good, why don't cool things like that exist for vegetarians unu fake meat technology needs to STEP UP THEIR GAME

and when we went back to their place boyfriend had a ton of homework to do but he made sure to look at the skaiabound sketches first and he really liked them :3 and then i drew a really dumb ugly comic with scri's tablet while we larped yellow gamzee and lime terezi until ey had to leave and then i fell asleep for a bit and came home. COOL. wow this post sounds really awkward and i say and then too much but whatever i'm not. used to journaling kinds of posts okay but yeah it was good the end, this is long i'm gonna look for a good place to insert a cut
