Skanktuary and Gypsy Bar
My (I-was-kidding-the-whole-time) lover, Chris Kaine from class told us about the club he was promoting called Sanctuary. Omri, Caroline and I were put on a list. Seeing as Omri and I like to think we are famous, being on a list made a huge deal to us. We got there pretended to be celebrities for Chase, who lived on my floor last year and was a hired photographer at the event, then left. But where did we go?
GYPSY BAR unst unst unst unst
Since the first weekend of freshman year, Gypsy Bar has been this amazing mystery. We would see nearly-naked ladies braving the snow, and Jersey Shore-esque men being turned away for their laced shoes. Stepping past those vomit plated steps and flashing a real ID at the bouncers had always been a dream of mine. Last Thursday, it all came true.
Somehow Omri got himself into some line, I think for foreign people or something, and we were finally able to GO INSIDE. The first room looks like a restaurant/bar type place. No one was really there. The action was all through the back. I had heard from my friend Zaina Hizami that Thursdays were for the international students to come out to play. Omri and I were finally home. There were different private balcony type rooms to either sides of us and with the help of Chiara's friend we were in with an Asian and Armenian friend duo party. They even had their own private bartender. Now that is out of the budget.
Here is the one picture I took:
Next time Omri and I are yearning for our Middle-Eastern roots, we gon Gypsy.
