Day 2
With a LOT of days in between. It was finally warm enough to go out and skate! But the parking lot filled up kinda quick since we’re nearing easter. An old lady stared menacingly at me but it’s okay. I’m gonna sit inside with the windows open— Or maybe go buy a shitty fold up chair from dollar tree, just so i can be outside
day 1
of this record at least! skated for abt an hour give or take. fell in the mud and laughed it off! today was a laundry day so its okay if i got my pants muddy (i did). I’m getting a lot more confident at going around corners and slight inclines. i hope by spring i can safely run errands to the library and stuff
Skate log
Whooo! So after 3 weeks of pretty intense foot pain in my left foot and overly crowded public skate sessions, today was a good skate.
Switched out the insole on my left skate and that took care of the pain.
Actually attempted the waltz jump from a proper back crossover with some speed, and I fell after the landing once but otherwise that was the most height and distance I have ever got.
I'm happy with today's skate.

Tips for FW inside Brackets:
Check skating shoulder back when entering, free shoulder back when exiting
Turn enough in ankle to make sure exiting on an outside edge
Keep free leg in the front when entering, and toe-to-heel when turning and exiting
Keep head and chest up; don’t lean shoulders when pressing
Tips for FW Rocker turns:
Turn enough in ankle to make sure exiting on a correct edge
Don’t drop free hip after the turn
Body facing the circle when entering, back facing the circle when exiting Keep head and chest up; don’t lean shoulders when pressing
Shoulder checking:
Outside turns: skating shoulder back when entering, free shoulder back when exiting
Inside turns: free shoulder back when entering, skating shoulder back when exiting
Free leg position:
Outside turns: in the front when entering, toe-to-heel when turning and exiting
Inside turns: toe-to-heel when entering, in the front when exiting
