So its been over a year since I drew skekCel's bio picture. While I like the way that he looks in it, after perusing the Weta statues, I decided to add some details to his design that reflect Cel's rather...unique nature. Thus, a more defined coat, his daggers, vials of...things and his 'tools of the trade.' I've developed this boy a lot and I'm glad I'm starting master doing small details better.

Some of the commissions I’ve done so far! 

Wonderful people to work with and amazing characters each one of them are.

First one is SkekCel and UrClay belong to @reikiajakoiranruohoja and each character has their own blog @theghostofharar and @thecastleurru.

Second and Third are a lineart of SkekDel the Culturalist belonging to @kaijukian and their Oc, Bourbon, a gryphon!

And the last one, the classic SkekShakt with his daughter Skeksa! SkekShakt belongs to @queenofthetides.

(@theghostofharar) Ah, Lord Ritual-Master, salutations and greetings. It is a honour to see you here. I am skekCel the Assassin.

I admit, I wasn’t expecting to see you anytime soon, Assassin. [Raises an eyebrow] You’re looking well. Keeping out of the sun still, I trust?

(@theghostofharar) How are you, Lord Scroll-Keeper? Is your cub safe,now? Do you need someone to guard him, perhaps?

“Oh! SkekCel. You startled me. My Cub? Ah yes my Crawl-I-mean SkekAth. He is safe with me.”

The Scrollkeeper craned down his long slender neck to reveal a small black-spotted Skekling who had wedged himself in between SkekOk’s neck and the back of his lotus-collared carapace. His tail twitching, SkekAth pounced onto the top of SkekOk’s head to get a better look at The Messanger. Who’s height towered over his father threefold. Chirping curiously at the snowy white Skeksis.

“Due to…recent circumstances, I’d prefer that he’d stay with me at least a little while longer. I only want the best for him you see. But your offer is genorous.” SkekOk supported the Skekling that rested on his light platinum hair so that he would not fall off of his head from excitement.

“The Emperor has presented me with a tremendous workload.” He continued. “Perhaps sometime in the future. At present, I want to make sure that he is with me or his mother at all times.” A sudden thought came to The Scroll-keeper his eyes widened for a second, then his brow furrowed in thought. Adjusting his monocle he spoke once more.

“Why exactly do you ask if my childling is safe? Do you know of… What happened in the library?”

skekCel and skekScy, father and son. I'm working on a new inking brush and these bois were my experiments. Plus I wanted to just draw them and their differences. Scy, due to having non-noodle genes, is much more robust than Cel. He also is not single colour like Cel, but has markings. Even his eyes are much more vibrant than Cel's.

Finally I have art of the whole SoSu-family and so I can showcase the genetics of the family. (Please note; This is an EXTREMELY inbred line and so they all look homegenous by default.) From left to right in the group picture: SkekCel, skekSo, skekThulun (mother) and skekZhahu (father). Since I'm a nerd, I'll go over traits So and Cel inherited from their parents under the cut.

Common traits all share: Uniform coat colour, icy blue eyes, bald face/pawtips and belly. SkekSo: - Shorter fur (Thulun) - Hair (Thulun) - Shorter size (Zhahu) - Saturated coat (Zhahu) - Messed up teeth (Thulun) - Long tail (Thulun) SkekCel: -Longer fur (Zhahu) -Long canines (Zhahu) -Larger size (Thulun) -Desaturated coat (Thulun, not visible due to leuticism.) - Long tail (Thulun)

Welp, joined a skeksis based RP, hence suddenly having a LOT inspiration for art. Here is skekCel the Assassin, without his clothes, in his territory and as a profile picture.
