Introducing my own two Skeksis and Mystics! I wrote lengthy bios for both of them, but to clear things up:

The two Urskeks these guys came from, ViOda and TarLu were sent to Thra on a mission to find out what happened to the rest of the urskeks that vanished hundreds of trine ago. They did volunteer, but only because they weren’t aware it was a suicide mission by nature. Naturally, due to the imbalance caused by the cracked crystal, the two split shortly after making contact with Thra’s surface.

They went their separate ways, SkekVi being the first to find more of his kind, encountering the castle of the crystal. He was basically treated as a child for his first hundred trine there, and to all the skeksis he likely was, considering the other skeksis were roughly a thousand trine old at the time, while he wasn’t even a hundred yet (same goes for SkekTar). UrOda was a similar case, being coddled by the other urrus for the first hundred trine he spent on Thra, then eventually drifting away. The two may have had specific titles, but both were simply treated as errand-runners for their respective leaders.

SkekTar was an odd case, as no one could tell they were a skeksis until SkekTek had their dna tested. He is, indeed, just as much of a skeksis as the rest of them are, but he’s just oddly shaped, it seems. Their job, which isn’t just errand running, allows him to go all throughout Thra on tours, it’s a pretty good job for a curious skeksis like himself. UrLu, however, prefers to stay at home with her fellow Urru, constructing things with the help of her friends rather than the forced help of gelflings or podlings.

SkekVi and SkekTar are often paired up on missions or jobs, because they’re roughly on the same wavelength. They do often get into trouble, however, so the emperor usually assigns them a third skeksis to make sure they don’t mess up relations or anything like that. It’s usually SkekTek or SkekOk who have to do this. Go figure.

Small story:

After Skektif stopped visiting the castle (around the age of 90, 20 in human), the castle skeklings only saw her on rare occations. But they knew Tif would always be there, if they needed her. But it is harder now, to reach her. Once, the Skeksis had a meeting in the area near Skektifs home, and they took the kids with them. Skekzok and Skekshod, proud parents, told the others that their child, would watch the other young ones. Skekphan is still too young tho, and gets overwhelmed with the pressure of babysitting 5 little kiddos. After 3 days, he breaks. So he visited Skektif, in the early morning. Seeking help.
