Her sleep was dreamless, and somewhat restless - she still couldn’t sleep well on her back - and she woke to the sound of something breathing nearby in the room.
No, not something... someone. Her skeleton friend had made some sort of nest out of pillows and blankets on the floor, and appeared to have stayed the night.
Her nose still felt awful. Her stomach was still quietly tumbling all over itself. But at least she wasn’t starting the day miserable and alone.
With a quiet mumble and a light sniffle, she cozied into her blankets.
