The major crux of the problem that academic scientists have with the evidence surrounding Bigfoot is the clear cut lack of it. While there have been blips on the radar, such as the Cripplefoot track sighting mentioned in the article, overall there has been no concrete evidence of such a monster existing. If a Bigfoot was to be caught and bagged, there would be no doubts to the question of its existence with such strong evidence. Unfortunately, that evidence bag has remained empty of such, and instead filled with far-fetched stories of “he said/ she said” opinion. While amateur “scientists” may have gripes with professionals, they are more opinions than actual founded complaints. While they may find their interests and research valuable, there is a reason they are hard pressed to find a greater number of professionals to join their studies. Namely, there are other equally as interesting topics that have far greater foundations. Carl Sagan relates in his article, “The Demon Haunted World,” as he speaks of how is driver is entranced by Atlantis, “And yet there’s so much in real science that’s equally exciting, more mysterious, a greater intellectual- as well as being a lot closer to the truth.” It may not be that professionals have an utter lack of interest in Bigfoot, but rather that they believe that can spend their time and effort on more founded issues, something both logical and important.
The video posted is of Anatoly Kashpirovsky, famous as both a Soviet pseudo healer and as a Russian politician. He claimed to have healing abilities, so great that by simply viewing him on television would be enough to heal whatever malady afflicted you. He was immensely popular in the Soviet Union and has actually held office in the Russian Duma, or legislative assembly. Luckily for us, some of his videos are now on Youtube and easily accessible to the general, afflicted, public. Prepare to be healed.
