What things do you associate your mother with and what things do you associate your after with? Since you've mentioned in the past that they've been separated/divorced for a long time. I ask since my parents have also been separated since my early childhood, and I usually associate different things to each parent (like responsibility and fun with my mother and obligation and lazy ness with my father) etc. If too personal, ignore.
i usually associate locations with my parents more than anything. like, i associate washington (and idaho) with my mom and her family, and i associate arizona (and california) with my dad and his family.
but if we're going by characteristics, i'd associate my mom with emotion the most and my dad with...i guess logic and wealth the most? idk they're just both very different in general
my mom has been struggling to make ends meet with my sister and me for the past few years, but she's very sensitive and caring with us, even though it can be really overbearing at times. in contrast, my dad's pretty wealthy and he likes to spoil my sister and me whenever we meet up, but since he's really book-smart and tech-savvy and all that, he tends to treat me like an idiot when i don't immediately get something. (i've called him out on this before, but it doesn't seem like it's sunk in much. we'll see when i visit him this week though)
