Day 3 - crown

I really liked Saiyuki and the theme was a crown so I thought that this boy should have it.

And yeah, flower crown is still a crown❣️

97-2926 - Strawberry apples

Here is an evening still life of some fruit – a nice easy subject when I am stuck for something to draw. According to one website these are botanically classified as Malus domestica and are native to America…so they travelled a long way before we ate them. They are called strawberry apples because they release a subtle berry-like scent that is supposed to smell like strawberries. Thu-12-Dec-2024

This is my favorite view of Augustin Cipriani’s F40ena — ie F_quarantine — project. “The main idea was to keep it simple with large and bent surfaces that intersect each other,” says the Italian designer, who elected to create a single seater because of quarantine. Cipriani says the dashboard pays homage to the original F40 but confirms “I went crazy (...) I know.”

Yesterday I started a pencil sketch of this guy posted by @fieldmuseum and today I finished painting him in. Which do you like better? I actually lean towards the pencil this time. I usually dislike my pencil drawings, but there was something about this one I really liked. I don't draw animals often either, but I do enjoy this type of thing. I miss the Chicago Field Museum, it's always been a happy place for me. I miss spending time there sketching, which I did regularly while in college.
