Rube Goldberg format for presenting processes
I did this illustration once for Adobo Magazine and the topic I was supposed to draw about was "collaboration". It was plenty of fun creating this because I never really thought I could make a Rube Goldberg device with just a pen and a piece of paper. I really didn't have a plan for how it was going to turn out and this piece pretty much drew itself.
After finishing this one, I figured that maybe I could use this style for visual notes (sketching processes prehaps?) and so I did. I didn't really have an academic topic to take notes about but here's an attempt on applying this visual lay out on the process of making pancakes (recipe source: http://www.wikihow.com/Make-Pancakes)
I drew the images and sketchy typography by hand (and on Ai) and did the big arrow, the coloring and smaller texts on Ps and Ai (does that count as cheating? I hope not). All in all, it was fun but this technique needs a lot of planning and isn't really practical for on-site note-taking. Nonetheless, I think it's a good alternative for presenting concepts visually.

Hello everyone! It's been more than a year since this site has had any updates and I'm really sorry for that. I've been quite busy the past year but rest assured that I'll commit myself to keeping you guys up to date with any adventures I've had or will have related to visual note-taking.
Ever since I set this project up, I've been getting a lot of great feedback and offers from people all over the world. Thank you so much for your appreciation and for keeping this site alive with your love for visual notes. Stay tuned for more doodles and sketches and notes from me about anything and everything, may they be related to visual note-taking or not (because, yes, I am prone to digressing).
