Neo Domino City. The home of Riding Duels and Synchro Monsters. Those here are the ones to believe the legends of the Crimson Dragon, Akakiryu, and it’s Signers. That’s because they know it’s true. They defeated the Earthbound Gods and united the City and Satillite, split over a decade before due to the Zero Reverse. Then when Yliaster’s plan was completed and Ark Cradle was threatening them all, they fought again. And they lost those that they so deeply cared about… How do I know? My name is Fudou Yuusei, former bearer of the Crimson Dragon’s head. And I believe that even though one I cared about is gone…I still believe there’s a way to save him.

finally working on angsty toolship
i wrote an entire fic idea out so here we go
3~ years after the signers split up and stopped being signers, yuusei is living life to the fullest. but not really.
Yuusei Fudou is currently leading a much less dangerous yet much more boring life. Finishing up a lot of projects his father never got to, helping out Security if it’s needed, watching his friends from afar move on with their life. Of course, it’s Yugioh, and this means everything needs to go to S H I T. Divine has been revived post-Dark Signers and oops a couple old members of the Arcadia Movement have broken him out and he’s now set on WORLD DOMINATION! gg divine. Meanwhile, another group(of ocs that aren’t important rn) are trying to revive the Earthbounds with the only thing to stop them being nothing/Kipa because she deserves better. And Akakiryu ain’t happy.
So Arcadia makes the first strike, and that’s when the Signers are called back into action by our lord and savior the Crimson Dragon! The other 5 return to Neo Domino to help Yuusei save the world for at least the 3rd time. I’ll ramble about all the character development after I finish this basic summary. While Aki’s past chases her again after so many years of being forgotten(wait it’s only been like 4), and Rua and Ruka discover some shit that really shouldn’t be discussed about(thank you meklord emperor duel spirits. you’re doing your best!), Crow and Yuusei team up to start taking down the other oc group! and Jack’s chased by all his old fangirls while trying to save the world. Poor Jack.
Misty of course teams back up with the twins, Aki and JACK to fight Arcadia, while Kiryu and Bommer help Yuusei and Crow. And Sherry too maybe?? I wanna add her but idk where to place her rn.
All the shit going on has also reawakened Scar-Red Nova for some reason, who’s literally become like Z-Arc. He wants his missing half, and that’s where MANGA LORE plays a role. So they discover that at first, the two Crimson D’s were one entity, but it split due to being afraid of being too powerful. So while everybody praised the Crimson Dragon for all the good it had been doing, Devil got salty. It took control of the Earthbound Gods it’s other half had created, in which the Crimson Dragon used most of it’s strength to create the Signer Dragons to fight back, and in the process all the Gods were killed minus the 7 we know and love(or hate because of shitty effects, in Cusillu and Rasca’s cases.)
And the Earthbounds are back and they’re like “nobody worthy is dead wanna try possession?” and then they do the thing and pick someone. So Uru assists Divine, and I guess the leader of OC group is taken by Cusillu? Ccapac Apu then probably also picks another OC and Ccarayhua…goes for like Ushio because he’s like “lol look what i can do”. And Chacu is questioning how this works and accidentally brings back Z-One as the LONE (true) DARK SIGNER except he’s like he was before the whole Ark Cradle shit went down. Really crazy and lack of sanity. So the birbs are like “fuck we can’t stop them” and Aslla and Rasca call to Jack and Yuusei, respectively, to use them for good??
Meanwhile, turns out Aporia is actually a very confusing concept, because the tenors are alive?? and a half-beaten Paradox because he needs development. yes you’ve been fooled, this is a secret paradox development fic. So they’re like Z-One’s ALIVE when they realize he’s sorta bat-shit crazy, and much to Placido’s complaint, they end up turning to the Signers. Mainly because someone who showed Aporia hope decided to take Meklords if only because his archetype is suppose to be good but the Quasar Morphtronic deal has never ever worked for me so why should it work for Rua. And Paradox’s deck is sorta useless now because all the copies he made are gone for plot armor reasons.(what should i give him in this case?? shaddolls? red-eyes?)
SO DIVINE GETS HIS SHIT BEATEN BY BURNING SOUL AND THEN SCAR-RED IS BACK.(i could make a joke here but i’m too lazy too) So Yuusei and pals @ Nazca come back if ONLY because it’ll take at least a day or two for Scar-Red to even be able to go anywhere. The plot is dropped and Placido needs to be restrained because of course. Z-One is like “cool, ultimate demon guy!!” and goes full Z-Arc mode and tries to fuse with it. He ends up sorta controlling it which is probably worse. and Yuusei’s like, if Bruno was here, he’d risk his life trying to save his friend and goes full on “I’MA FIGHT A DEMON AND CRAZY SELF-PROCLAIMED GOD” much to everyone’s concern(except Placido. how many times do i need to mention he still hates yuusei?) and Jack’s like “what are you going to do. summon quasar.” and Yuusei’s like fuck yeah bro.
and then shit goes on they win and Yuusei also saves the Earthbounds. So his request more or less is to keep Z-One alive and sane for a little while longer to bring back Bruno and that is done and then everybody’s happy and placi is still salty
Man, imagine if I wrote this much for like, Aporia or Over Accel or Scarred Wings. That’d be a lot more helpful rn, primarily on Over Accel because Scarred Wings feels ooc and Aporia feels poorly written compared to all the better things I can do to Hanzo.

Despite the question being directed towards the now potentially dead Z-Arc, Placido answered. "Yuusei bissected me!"
The only sound was Lucciano constantly replaying a .mp3 saying all the statistical elements of Pot of Desires. The one card nobody could afford.
Yuugo was slammed against the ground by Odd-Eyes Dragon, as Yuuri watched in horror as the worst Odd-Eyes hurt his counterpart.
"HE ISN'T HIRED SO YOU CAN'T FIRE."
It’d been three years since Yuusei had defeated Z-One. This day meant much more to him, as it had become the only time of the year he and all the former members of Team 5D’s had a reunion. Jack and Crow were having a duel for the public, which Rua, Ruka and Aki were all attending. Yuusei was more interested in other things however.
It was strange to see a D-Wheel in an empty Duel Lane. Of course, seeing the Yuusei Go had become a much more common sight.
“Yuusei, it’s not going to work,” came a voice from the motorcycle. On the screen that would have typically showed the time, speed, etc. was instead a very…interesting figure. His expression was pretty obvious one of disappointment.
“No, it has to work! There has to be a way to save him! When I reach Clear Mind…it’s like, just for a little while, I’m able to see a different dimension or something. You know that I teleport backwards when I summon Shooting Star Dragon. You’re the reason I was able to summon it in the first place. Besides Z-One or…or..”
Yuusei stopped. Bruno. Bruno hadn’t survived. He wasn’t suppose to…it was all a cruel joke by Z-One. He knew that the latter had warped intentions because of declining over time but….it wasn’t fair.
The D-Wheel had stopped, any potential it could have had to go beyond Accel. It was like his first duel performing it, yet there was no Crimson Dragon to help him.
“Yuusei. Snap out of it. Focus on the road. Please, don’t lose yourself like Z-One…you’re really the only person I can consider a friend right now. I miss him so much….I don’t know what I’d do without you.”
“Aporia, I’m fine…please don’t worry. I….I care more about Bruno than myself now.”
The android contained within the D-Wheel sighed. Truly, Z-One was like Yuusei even after the faceplate broke. Or was it vice versa? Aporia didn’t really care, he just didn’t understand what happened. While his memories of being three were rather rough…he never remembered Yuusei acting like this in any way.
-ANGST ALERT-
What if in the end, both the Yuus and Bracelets have fused? Z-Arc and Ray, full-form. The darkness has been defeated by Yuuya, but it hasn’t stopped the worlds from colliding. They’re back to one now. Everyone is confused. Reo and Yusho are both in shock. Reiji is gone. He failed. They failed. Reria watches as his brother is in a state he hasn’t seen before. Edo and Kaito glance at each other confused. What the hell happened to Yuuri and Yuugo? Sora and Shun are too out of it to care.
Sawatari, helping JACK get Gongenzaka away, is the first one to speak. ‘What the fuck?” he says. Then it snaps. They failed. The Lancers failed.
“Father, what the hell?” Something along those lines comes from Ray. Reo takes a minute to realize. He dun fucked up.
Ray and Z-Arc are both fusions of those they were. Yuuya....Yuzu....Yuuto...all of them. They’re dead. Ray’s kept memories from the girls. Z-Arc only remembers from Yuuya. A split attempt would be too dangerous.
What would happen to Shuzo and Shun? Honorary brother and dad? But Z-Arc’s different.
Yusho and Yoko don’t react well. They lost Yuuya, who sacrificed himself to defeat something that could have ruined them all. All those that have known him are mourning too. Everyone’s uncarded but still....they’re missing.
“Sorry for all of this...” comes from Z-Arc. “I’m sorry I couldn’t save myself...”
Yuuya’s pendulum is hanging from his neck. It survived. Z-Arc’s not sure who he is. Himself....or Yuuya? Broken, shattered. A wreck.
Reiji’s the one to speak. He wants to finish what he started. He sees Yuuya still, and realizes maybe it was his fault all of this happened.
Reiji obviously loses. He can’t fight the Dimensional Dragons alone. “Sorry for that. Thanks for the duel....it was fun,” Z-Arc says. “That satisfied me, Yuuya.”
Z-Arc still had Odd-Eyes. Nirvana. Odd-Eyes Rebellion. Raging.
Sure he wasn’t “Yuuya” himself, but he was close enough.
