So she thought anyhow. The leader was very insistent on being outside and with the new blossoms, for spring and nature inspires new beginnings and love. Or something to that effect. The small statured lady didn’t seem to be much older than Lilina herself, but her energy and enthusiasm was tenfold her own.
“One, two, three... Okay! I think everyone’s here!” the lady exclaims. “Now, please greet the person across from you and get to know them well, they’re your partner for this seminar. In front of you should be teacups and from these you’ll be reading each other. Of course, I’ll be coming around to help ( for a small fee, the staff is a little light on cash these days... )!”
Ah... Did she hear that last part right? Lilina looks to her partner briefly then down at her lap, fiddling with the bracelet on her wrist. Of course, she was interested in whatever teachings from the monastery she could involve herself in, but it was already proving to be a bit awkward. Nevertheless, she swallows any anxiety and attempts to start them off.
“Well... I suppose we should start with introductions, right?” she lets out a little laugh to cut the tension. “I’m Lilina and... I’ll apologize in advance if your reading is not accurate, but at least we can walk away having sipped delicious tea.”
