JOURNEY | Recent visit to Lubhu, Nepal 🇳🇵. Weaving is a very calming practice. I am drawn to the slow methodical nature of this craft practice. I like how working on a hand loom cannot be fast or mass produced, it’s a meditative process that inspires you to slow down, take time and gradually build a piece that has a greater impact and positivity on people and planet both, thus I call it soul of our dresses. 🙏 It is always inspiring to meet these amazing artists who have been making such beautiful hand-loomed fabrics using their gifted skill. I love being able to work on something that challenges and inspires me. I’m naturally quite a relaxed person so having able to use such a calming medium to create my designs are both wonderful yet very challenging in this fast world. So I’m continuously grateful for the women and men who have these wonderful skill. It is very powerful being around that many people being focused and creative. #positivechange #skillforlife #womenempowerment #handmadeinnepal #sanyuktashrestha (at Lubhu, Lalitpur) https://www.instagram.com/p/BwNNjvFhJmQ/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1dfn8r0qghky
